"Great service, delicious coffee and croissants! Definitely one of the better coffee shops we've been to in the Greenville area! Be aware, it changes BUSINESSES around 3 or 4 to a beer place run by different people. We went back at 4 for a coffee and were surprised that they didn't serve coffee."

"This place is the best! I’ve tried their matcha iced and hot and it’s the best in Greenville. If you dine in, they serve drinks on a cute tray with water and flowers. It’s a great location as well, right alongside the river with beautiful green space making it very peaceful. They also play great music!"

"Edit: I’ll leave my original review below this edit for context, but after seeing the owner’s bizarre and childish response to my review, I think I will have to retract my statement about not letting things prevent me from continuing to visit Local Honey. I have no desire to be a patron of a shop that is run by someone that behaves like this in response to relatively mild feedback. His responses to other critical reviewers turns out to be equally if not more inappropriate. My original review was 4/5 stars, but I’m taking it down to 1/5 cause the response left such a bad taste in my mouth. Additionally, I’ll also point out that on the shop’s menu and website the item is listed as “Hot Cakes” which is *plural*, creating an expectation for something certainly more than 1 small cake. As for the special elevated ingredients he referenced, I found the butter to be relatively tasteless and had assumed it was unsalted butter from Aldi. I also could detect nothing special about the maple syrup, and I say this as someone with a great appreciation for the ingredient. Perhaps a helpful note for the owner if he chooses to continue with this overpriced dish: you can cut the amount of butter and syrup you give on the side by at least half because it was way too much for such a small cake… that should save a little money. I’d also switch to a more normal supplier of maple syrup because I doubt anyone can tell the difference. I will be sticking to my favorite local coffee shops in the future: Village Grind, Methodical, Otherlands, Mountain Goat, and even A20. They all have better coffee and don’t seem to be run by a man child. — Original Review Below — I’ve been going to Local Honey off and on for the past few months when I’m nearby and need to get some work done away from the office. The atmosphere is great and staff are all wonderful. It is pricier than most coffee places in the area, but not too bad if you’re just there for standard coffee drinks/flavors. I ventured out on my recent visit to order food too, specifically their new menu item “hot cakes”. While it was delicious, it was $7 and turned out to be one tiny mini pancake which is honestly unhinged and left me feeling a bit cheated. The economics of it don’t even make sense to me… I get rent and labor costs, but for $7 the least expensive part of this dish is the pancake batter, you could probably throw in at least 2 of these bad bois for $7 and not see any measurable impact on your bottom line or time spent cooking it. I’d have preferred 3, but even 2 would’ve made it feel slightly less ridiculous. This isn’t going to prevent me from continuing to visit Local Honey, but my rating would be higher if it weren’t for the offensive portion size to cost ratio on some of the food items. I probably will stick to just espresso drinks in the future."

"I’m honestly blown away by this place. The Local Honey Company completely exceeded my expectations. I thought Greenville was just a small town, but this café could easily be in any big city, it’s that beautiful. The space itself is stunning. Every corner feels intentional, cozy, and bright. The music is at the perfect level, the vibe is calm but lively, and everything from the tables to the bathrooms is spotless. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours, whether you’re working, studying, or just enjoying a slow morning. I ordered the Lychee Butterfly Matcha and the Strawberry Matcha, and both were absolutely incredible. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, the matcha-to-milk ratio was spot on, and they offer different milk options so you can customize it how you like. I went with oat milk, and it was honestly amazing. They also have pastries, breakfast options, and coffee that looks straight out of a magazine. The staff was so kind and welcoming, genuinely making you feel at home. You can tell they care about what they do, and that energy fills the space. Located right in Falls Park on the Reedy in downtown Greenville, this café is a total gem. The area around it is just as beautiful, filled with high-end restaurants, great spots to eat, walk around, have fun, and enjoy the day. It’s the perfect place to spend time, whether you’re exploring or just relaxing. I would come back a thousand times over. Truly one of the best spots I’ve discovered. If you haven’t been yet, go. You’ll fall in love just like I did. 10 out of 10"

"Stopped by on a Sunday after a few recommendations, and it exceeded our expectations! We’ve tried a lot of mid coffee shops, but this one stood out. I got the Iced Sweet Corn Latte and asked about the sweetness, since I typically don't enjoy overly sweet drinks. The girl at the counter was so friendly and let me know that they were able to adjust it to half sweet, which was perfect. My husband ordered the Iced Matcha Latte, and it was easily the best we’ve had in this area. We took our drinks to go, but the inside looked like a nice spot to hang out. We’ll definitely be back!"
