What People Are Saying
from Google"I am a dad living right here in downtown Greenville, and I have pretty much tried every espresso bar / coffee shop / anything with caffeine that is within walking distance. Meeting Grounds is hands down the best of the bunch. The coffee is great, but Brianna is the real reason I keep coming back. Her kindness is honestly amazing—she is so patient and just has a way of making your day better. You can tell she actually cares about the people coming through the door. It is easily the best service of any shop in the downtown area. I was just in there today (Dec 17, 2025), and she went WAY above and beyond! I really hope that she knows what a big difference she makes! If you live in the city, or if you are visiting the Christmas tress at the Hyatt this month, go see Brianna at Meeting Grounds. You won’t find a friendlier cup of coffee in Greenville."
"Popped in here for a late lunch for something quick and “quick” turned into a whole conversation with Brianna and Taylor who were absolutely wonderful to talk to. I had the iced lavender honey latte and blistered tomato & whipped ricotta toast, both items were delicious! Just enough to fill me up but not be overly full. Menu has a lot of offerings coffee wise and good amount of toasts/sandwiches as well. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming, will definitely be back!!"
"I come here because it’s convenient. It’s close to work and opens early, which matters on busy mornings. Unfortunately, my most recent visit gave me serious pause. I watched a bearded man preparing food repeatedly wipe his nose while wearing gloves and then continue packaging food without changing them. That is a basic food safety issue. Gloves only work if they are changed when contaminated, and this was hard to ignore. On top of that, service was slow. My coffee was ready, but I waited an extended amount of time for a simple, unheated lemon cranberry muffin. After watching the food handling and waiting longer than expected for something that required no prep, I chose to leave without the food. I want local businesses to thrive. Convenience and early hours are great, but cleanliness and efficient service are foundational. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because getting the basics right is what builds trust and keeps people coming back."
"This is the new coffee shop downtown that opened where the old Starbucks used to be. I am not normally a flavored coffee guy, but I've had several of the seasonal sweet potato latte coffees there and I loved it. I also tried the honey lavender latte and it wasn't bad either. The big standout things here, however, are the sandwiches / toasts. The turkey focaccia sandwich is awesome, and the almond butter & banana toast is so good it tastes like a desert. They also sell some interesting looking local snacks that I'd like to try."
"Sweet, friendly baristas serving up great coffee. I also enjoyed the toast! I really love the outdoor tables on a nice day overlooking NOMA Square."
