What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Swamp Rabbit Café & Grocery is easily one of the best spots in Greenville. The place has such a chill, local vibe — it feels like a small community where everyone’s just enjoying good food, good coffee, and good energy. There’s a pumpkin patch, a kids’ park, and plenty of outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for families or just hanging out with friends. The grocery section is next level fresh meats, handmade pasta, salads, pastries, local produce, and even a liquor section. Everything is organic, fresh, and locally sourced, and you can tell the quality in every detail. What I really like is how they’ve separated the coffee area from the grocery. Even though there’s usually a long line for the grocery side, if you just want to grab a coffee and relax, you can head straight to the café section it’s way more chill and quick. The service is great, everyone’s friendly, and the whole atmosphere just feels right. Everything was perfect from the drinks to the vibe. This place truly deserves way more recognition. Definitely a 10/10 and a must-visit in Greenville."
"Such a great local spot with so much to offer — food, coffee, smoothies, and more! We tried the apple caramel coffee with cold foam, it was a nice coffee overall, though I didn’t get much of the apple or caramel flavor I was expecting. Their stecca bread was absolutely amazing (and if it’s your first time, you get a free one!). We brought it home and made the best grilled cheese sandwiches. The chocolate chess pie was the star of the day — rich chocolate flavor, perfect texture, and the most delicious crust. We also tried their apple cider, which was so refreshing after a walk back from the park. Highly recommend this awesome spot — great food, great service, and a really welcoming atmosphere!"
"I went here for a quick stroll on the trail with my family. We decided afterwards to grab some coffee and then some food as well for lunch. First of all the coffee I had was probably one of the worst cups of coffee I’ve ever tasted. I got the salted maple latte… I wasn’t expecting the salted part in the name to be the only thing I was going to be able to taste. The coffee tasted more like a warm cup of ocean water. I ended up throwing away the coffee cause it was too much to drink. We then walked around for a bit more and decided to get some lunch as well. Me and my wife decided to share the Reuben sandwich. The best part about the whole sandwich was the bread. There was practically no meat on the sandwich at all, and the meat that was on there was ALL FAT. it was one big, slimy, chewy pile of fat. When I took apart the sandwich I was actually shocked to see what was on there and decided to take a picture of it. Needless to say, we ended up not finishing the sandwich either. So after having spent 13 dollars on two cups of coffee that tasted like salt water and throwing those away, to then spending 16 DOLLARS!!! On a single sandwich (that came with no sides by the way…) that I ended up throwing away as well!! Me and my family were not impressed to say the least. We enjoyed the trail but will definitely not be back for any of the food options 🤦♂️"
"Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery is an absolute gem. The food is fresh, creative, and made with high-quality local ingredients — you can truly taste the difference. Everything we tried was delicious, and the baked goods alone are worth the visit. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a great mix of café, market, and community space. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to make recommendations. I also love the grocery side of the store, which features a great selection of local products, meats, produce, and specialty items. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or to pick up unique local groceries, Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery is a must-visit. Highly recommend!"
"Been here to take sandwiches to go a couple times- love the atmosphere and the selection in the grocery store. My only complaint is that the chicken salad sandwich has come entirely without chicken salad twice now. I understand things can run out, but if you’re charging $13 for a sandwich there should be some attempt to find an alternative. Update: Thank you for reaching out and making things right! I truly appreciate it and hope to enjoy your chicken salad properly soon!"
