What People Are Saying
from Google"Magnolia’s is one of my favorite places at the beach. My mom loved this place and every time we would come to the beach we had to go here. This year it was bittersweet for me because she passed away last fall. We were here on a Saturday around 4 and it wasn’t busy. Our server, Mo, was super friendly and did a great job. My son ordered from the menu at grilled chicken sandwich and fries and said it was really good. I ordered the best sweet tea in the south and the buffet. I like how they serve the food to you with a friendly smile! The bar has fresh vegetables on the salad, hot rolls, mac and cheese (yum), delicious ziti, shrimp, meatloaf, collard greens (which I tried because they were my moms favorite) and so much more! There is dessert and ice cream too. We love it so much we also went there for the breakfast bar on the morning before we left. That was a different experience because this time they were slammed. The staff was managing it well though and again the food was delicious."
"We went on a Saturday night in January. Around 6:15 we arrived. It was pretty empty. We got seated right away. Service is amazing. Waitresses are amazing! The cash register person was amazing. The people behind the buffet were amazing. However, the food was extremely dry and it seemed like they put a big batch out. Maybe at 5:00 and it was still the same food sitting there. The fish was chewy and dry. The fried chicken was dry. The salads look like they were made yesterday. All in all the food was not very good at all. It's a shame because we've been wanting to try this place for years now and we finally went and had a very mediocre experience. Maybe during season? It's better because they're refreshing the food more. However, the price is extremely high for the quality of food and the selection. The selection isn't really that good. It's a bunch of stewed vegetables and fried stuff selection lacks quality lacks. For myself, my 17-year-old and my 1-year-old are meal with tip was close to $70. They even charge for a 1-year-old which is pretty ridiculous. Even the Chinese restaurants don't charge for under two. All in all for the price, you're probably better off going down the road to the Chinese buffet. It's cheaper and fresher. However, like I said, service was a+ true Southern service. I wish them the best in their endeavors. Hopefully they get things together a little bit better."
"It was just ok. Not a lot of variety. From what I understand since COVID the staff serves you. Not your regular buffet. It wasn't what I remembered."
"Got free breakfast with our hotel, the food was amazing and so were all the sweet ladies working! Just one issue with a guy working serving the food he was a bit rude :( but even the busboy was super nice and helped out when we needed anything. The ladies are nice and fast with our drinks even when it got super busy. Will be coming back next year even if I have to pay out of pocket!"
"Fantastic buffet, they were so kind as to bring the waffles to the table. Great value for the price."
