What People Are Saying
from Google"this might be my first ever review without being asked by the business owner but I'd like whoever's in charge of this shop to know. The barista here didn't know how to make what I would consider a fairly simple drink: hot Americano, one flavor, a splash of almond milk. She needed repeated, step by step customer instruction, and somehow still made it with cold tap water. She also rolled her eyes at each step even though she was the confused one and acted very put out. I received a cold drink, and after that we didn't have the confidence to order anything but a latte which, although technically she knew this time, was made gross by pulling shots and setting them aside to get bitter. Shame because the americano tasted good enough despite being cold (fortunately I don't mind coffee the temp of one forgotten for hours, so I'm not even picky). Please train your people!"
"Cool place super yummy piping hot coffee. Very flavourful. Clean Nice quick service"
"Incredibly slow every time I been here. Unreasonably slow. Appallingly slow. Coffee order usually wrong, despite instructions written on the cup. Food takes four times longer than drinks. Doesn't matter if there are 3 people in line or 10, you will be late to your gate if you stop here. Luckily, a Starbucks is opening soon a mere 20 feet away. Coffee and bagels are good, fine, when you finally get them."
"The employee at this establishment showed up at 4:55 AM, glanced at the few of us standing in line, and bluntly stated they don’t open for another five minutes before walking away. She finally returned at 5:10 AM, now with more than six people standing in line behind me, only to proceed with leisurely sorting the cash in the register and cleaning the counters, completely ignoring the waiting customers. During this rude behavior, we even witnessed a cockroach crawling across the countertop, prompting everyone to leave in disgust. Out of sheer curiosity, I stayed to see how long she would continue this charade. Eventually, I asked if she was going to help us or if I needed to find another coffee place because I had a flight to catch. She snapped back, saying she would help us when she was done setting up, her tone dripping with disdain. She wasted another 10 minutes before grudgingly serving us, all the while maintaining a hostile attitude. It seemed she was deliberately wasting time, knowing that customers with impending flights couldn't wait long. Judging by other reviews, this pattern of behavior appears to be a regular occurrence at this establishment. Why is this person working in a coffee shop if she despises making coffee and interacting with people? Shame on you, Harvest Grounds Coffee & Bakery, for subjecting your customers to such appalling service. We don’t appreciate being held hostage by your insubordinate employees when we have flights to catch. Your lack of care for your customers' time and satisfaction is disgraceful. I threw my coffee in the trash and went to Dunkin’ Donuts. They have much better coffee. I would recommend closing Harvest Grounds Coffee & Bakery to allow for a new establishment to set up a coffee business interested in serving the visitors to CHS."
"This was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The woman taking orders was INCREDIBLY hostile to every customer; she yelled at one man (who did not speak English) to make a tip selection. I ordered an iced latte, which she prepared hot. I then kindly asked for it to be iced, so she rolled her eyes, poured it into a clear cup, and topped it with a little ice, which immediately melted. I asked if she could please remake as an iced latte (which I had ordered and paid for), and she said no and refused a refund. So disgusting with every customer interaction and playing on her phone while making the drinks. Should be fired. She had dark hair with reddish ends and was working at 11am on 5/18."
