What People Are Saying
from Google"Just a simple, local burger joint with affordable prices. There is no need to go to a drive thru if you are passing by What-A-Burger. Support local and small businesses!"
"I ordered a burger with fries and a sweet tea, and everything was great. The burger especially was really good and cooked just right. I’ll definitely be back and plan to try some of the other items on the menu next time."
"Enjoyed lunch here. Had a good time with family. Came during the quiet time so there was plenty of seating and not a long wait. The food was delicious for sure. Only complaint I have is that my marinara sauce for my mozzarella sticks was ice cold and had a sour taste, but I’m still giving 5 stars because things happen."
"It doesn't look like much on the outside or in the basket but let me tell you it has a whole lot of goodness on the inside. This is what the Five Guys and Fosters Grill is trying to achieve but they don't come close. This is the real deal. The burgers are the best and the fries are great. It comes out pretty fast even when they are busy. There are plenty of seats on the inside with restrooms but you can also take it outside or just take it to go."
"I've been living in and around Columbia for about 15 years, and I ate at What-a-Burger recently for the first time. I have to say, it did not disappoint! The burgers, in particular, rival anything I've had in or around the city. The condiments (lettuce, tomato) are fresh and not too wet, the bun pleasantly soft, and the patty immaculate. I also got a catfish basket which was quite good and very generously apportioned. Two burger baskets (burgers, fries and drinks) plus a catfish basket (catfish and fries, no drink) only cost about $23. The service was very polite - a little slow, but that's what you get when everything is clearly made to order. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that they use crinkle-cut fries, which aren't my favorite, but even then they were well cooked without the soggy or cold middles you occasionally see. Four stars, Ellis says check it out!"
