What People Are Saying
from Google"Kessler's is much more than just a grocery store; it’s a true local staple here in Aberdeen. Every time I drop by, I’m impressed by how they perfectly balance that charming, small-town market feel with top-notch modern service. The location on 6th Ave is super convenient, and finding a parking spot is never a headache. Their deli and bakery are the real deal the smell of fresh bread hits you the moment you walk through the doors! The staff is incredibly friendly and always goes the extra mile to help you find what you need. The store is consistently clean, the produce is always fresh, and you definitely get great value for your money. If you're looking for quality products and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit."
"Me and my family love Kesslers (been shopping there for at least 10 years), but ever since coborns bought them out and they switched to that "food club" brand, switched ownership, the quality of their meat, dairy, and anything else has gone WAAAYYYY downhill. For example, two packages of "thick-cut" bacon were actually thinner cuts than they were before. We are going to start shop elsewhere, like Ken's, since this downgrade in quality is disappointing. Highly recommend anyone else go elsewhere!"
"Listen, I'd love nothing more than to brag about Kessler's, but since you guys have been under new ownership as of spring 2025, things have gone downhill. I used to be able to buy a flavor of Häagen-Dazs ice cream that my wife liked, but now it's now it's not available. The chocolate chunk cookies my wife loved are rarely available when I shop on the weekends. You guys haven't been able to order Genoa salami for your deli in over 3 weeks. For weeks your cucumbers have been wrinkled, half-rotten jokes. You used to have the best beer selection in town. Now you're no different than any other store or gas station. I used to be able to see a few decent bourbon barrel stouts or winter/fall-appropriate dark beers in the coolers. Now, it's full of macrobrew products. I never shopped at Kessler's because they had the cheapest food in town. I shopped there because they had high quality products that I couldn't find anywhere else. The new owners seem determined to kill off everything that made Kessler's great, and that's a poor business decision when people can find cheaper food at Walmart and Ken's."
"Just out of curiosity, how do they get away with the price gouging the way they do? Walked in and saw some baked goods and for a plastic container of cookies, the price tag was over $7.00. Small container of potato salad, 7 and change.. I walked around the store and everything from produce to alcohol was the minimum 25 percent more than what I'm used to at home. Not a bad place but this isn't Beverly Hills"
"I went to purchase some fried chicken at Kesslers on October 9, 2025. It was marked $12.99, but the bar code had been entered as $212.99. When I looked at the register, I said that something is really wrong. The cashier didn’t know how to fix it. It took 5 others to figure out the issue. How many other people were charged $212.99 that day and were just paying with a credit card I. Good faith and not paying attention. There were no apologies, but irritation that I brought it to their attention. Buyer Beware!"
