At the Carpenter Bar, the lights are low, there is minimal seating, and it’s easy to just slow down, sip on your drink, and enjoy your evening. If you’re looking for a Busch light or a vodka Red Bull, this probably isn’t your scene, but if you appreciate the finer things and attention to detail with your spirits, definitely try to get a table or a seat at the bar here. I will definitely go back. This Three-Quarter Nelson cocktail is essentially a whiskey sour with a little amaretto softening the spirit and adding such a delicious nutty element to the drink."

"For quiet, intimate cocktail any time of day, this is the best spot in downtown. Most evenings even if full, it’s a place for conversing and sipping. It can be a little livelier on weekend nights as the weather gets nicer but it usually still gets more quaint the it gets. Recommend Raspberry Collins (sorry for no pic) for those that like fizz without it being too sweet. Their whiskey / bourbon cocktails are second to none. Although from out of town, we have been here dozens of times and hoping to be back dozens more."

Update: Three weeks later I returned for So Dak Attack & Margarita ..Truly one of the best I have ever had. ( Including nine locations in Mexico)..
