"This place is the absolute antithesis of 7brew, Starbucks, and all the other weirdly hostile drive-through windows pretending to be coffee shops. Food and drinks are outstanding. Atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and unpretentious. Staff are friendly and kind. The pace of the service is leisurely, as it ought to be! No one is screaming out order names from the counter—they bring it to your table. I highly recommend getting a pot of the Arabic coffee and spending a few hours sipping your way through it with a book—don’t worry, it won’t get cold because it’s brought out on a platter with a tea light to keep it hot. Perfect place to read, study, hang out. Memphis is lucky to have them."

Aldar Café – Memphis Hidden Gem! The neighborhood isn’t the best, but step inside and it’s a cozy, clean oasis with great decor and a welcoming vibe. The Yemeni coffees and teas are outstanding—rich, fresh, and perfectly brewed. Food is delicious (love the Arabic breakfast and pastries) everything tastes homemade and flavorful. Service is warm, friendly, and spot-on. Don’t let the location stop you—Aldar Café is absolutely worth it. Tremendous food, drinks, and atmosphere inside. 5 stars! Will be back often. ☕🍯"

"We went on a Sunday evening and there was an event with live music. We think the AC wasn’t working well because it was very hot inside. We only ordered 2 iced coffees and 2 pistachio lush desserts, but it took almost 25 minutes just to get the coffees. The coffees were just average, but the pistachio lush was very good and delicious. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back."
