from Google"The Brisket, finally a place in Memphis who knows how to cook and serve it. It has wonderful flavor, the bark is on point. Pulled pork is moist, delicious flavoring. If you are looking to explore sauce options they have a sweet, hot, and mustard sauce. I really enjoyed the mustard sauce. Cole Slaw has a nice kick of heat, just the right amount Pickled onion and pickle are perfect Their potato’s salad was delicious. It’s a very close version of a twice baked potato salad. The baked beans have a tomato flavor with healthy chunks of garlic. A great twist. Amazing staff, very friendly. Drew thank you for a delicious meal. I will be back next time to hit the full menu."
"We came here for a change after reading a few reviews from others. I ordered two meats with two sides and I selected ribs and brisket. The ribs came in four bones and a single slice of brisket. The lady asked if I’d like a taste of pork belly burnt ends which I said yes. My fiancé ordered a Memphis style BBQ sandwich with coleslaw and a side of baked beans. We also had two drinks, I had Sweet Tea and she had water. I was totally blown away at the price of $81.78. My plate was $25 plus $5 for the brisket. The burnt ends were at 1/2 lb was $20. The other meal was $14 plus $4 for the side of baked beans. Drinks cost $6.50. All meats were good but not like Cozy Corner, which was my first gut choice and should have followed. The ribs were fall off the bone, and brisket was good. Burnt ends were seasoned very good with a bit of spice. Chopped bbq was very tasty and enough. Mac n cheese need improvement along with the baked beans which advertises bbq added. (?). Staff were very friendly. Not impressed, just my opinion. Probably won’t be back."
"We stopped by a little after 7pm on a Wednesday and they had a slim selection left so if you want the best selection, go early! Thankfully we’re able to order the brisket, turkey, ribs and chicken wings which did not disappoint. The chicken wings were some of the best I have ever had. They had a dry rub and were tender, juicy and crispy."
"I was this many years old when I learned that such a lowkey, EXCELLENT bbq spot existed in Cooper Young. Let’s start with the food. My friends got the brisket plate and I got the turkey sandwich. It’s a little pricey but worth it! Every bite is flavorful perfection! And my friend also bought banana pudding! IT WAS SO GOOD! I just had a spoonful but I savored it. You order your food and receive it before you sit down, so service is great in that regard. No wait. The restaurant is a house, which (of course) I love. It’s Copper Young. What’s not to love? I noticed that they had sports on the TV, so the ambiance is laid back and pretty tapped into what the customers like. I will be back!"
"Bain Barbecue is my favorite BBQ restaurant in Memphis. This self service restaurant offers a generous portions of high quality cuts of meat from well seasoned Wagyu beef burn ends over the weekends, beef brisket, Memphis styled dry rub ribs to sausages. I especially enjoyed the half pound of Wagyu beef. The sweet sauce balanced the gooey caramelization of the fatty rich ends. The thick cuts of brisket were the most equally cut, tender and beefy flavor. The Texas Twinkle is a must try side--a cream cheese stuffed jalapeño wrapped with bacon. Pure bliss. You must give Bain a try!"
