from Google"I visited on a Saturday about 11 am, and Bluff City was not crowded at all. I was greeted cheerfully by a worker who was not even serving me, and she rebated that they had been quite stressfully busy that morning. I ordered a mocha and it was quite good. I tend to view a mocha as coffee with chocolate, but my drink was better described as chocolate with a little coffee. It was smooth and creamy, quite a good drink, just missing the edge of coffee I was expecting. Perhaps if I'd ordered a smaller size? Next time I'll know to ask for an extra shot of espresso. The pastry case had not been depleted, so I ordered a brownie. I was offered to have it warmed, as it came from a refrigerated case. I declined, and ate it cold. The edges were extra dense and the center was deliciously creamy. There was just a hint of saltiness, and that added a sublime element to the eating experience. They're open 6:30 to 1 every day except Sunday, when they open at 8. Lunch menu starts at 10:30. Great anchor shop for Cooper and Young streets."
"I had the pleasure of visiting Memphis, and stopped by this cafe several times and absolutely loved it! The coffee and pastries are outstanding! I tried a few pastries, but my favs were the Lemon Gooey Cookie and the Chocolate Brownie. Dense, sweet, and flavorful—these pair very well with a black coffee (imo). In addition to the tasty treats—the customer service was great as well. Shout out to Adah for being so friendly and welcoming—you made my day. I highly recommend checking out this cafe for a pick-me-up!"
"I stopped by this place to grab some quick breakfast, little later in the day. I grabbed a coffee, a cup of mocha to be precise. I ordered a chicken biscuit with cheddar and garlic biscuit and a croissant and a breakfast muffin. I took out the food and came home to resume my work ( from home). The coffee was very basic, nothing fancy. The chicken biscuit was decent. The specialised biscuit with cheddar and garlic didn’t leave any fancy trace on my taste buds. I could not find any extra flavour or aroma. It was rather dry and came out pieces when I was trying to eat the sandwich. The morning breakfast was a typical one, although I never expected coconut in it. They never mentioned and I don’t like coconut in my cakes/ muffins. I asked for the chocolate croissant, and after coming home I realised that it was the croissant with feta! It was a sheer mistake from their side. I understand, it happens! I don’t eat feta, so eventually I had to throw it. Overall, the place looks nice and clean. The staff was nice."
"Brunch with friends. Good spot. The breakfast sandwich on biscuit is a feast. Turkey sausage double patty, plenty of cheese & the biscuit is dense but not doughy. The raspberry poptart us delish. If you like pie crust you will enjoy. Plenty of filling. My wife got the Nutella one, but I like mine better. Friendly staff. Courteous. Be patient, they take a bit to get you your order. Busy, but good. Three tables on outside patio."
"Nice cafe in the Cooper-Young area of Memphis. The staff were friendly and helpful during my visit. I went just as it opened so it wasn't crowded at all and easy to get in and out of. I had coffee and a few pastries and they were all good."
