"Popped in here for lunch and immediately knew I’d try the Friday catfish lunch special. I love a restaurant that’s flexible on changing up the sides, and McEwen’s doesn’t charge extra for it. The cornmeal fried catfish was extremely delicious! The server is sweet and extremely helpful in giving me the tartar sauce to go. I will definitely come back just to have it again."

"Not my favorite, just nothing special about it. Had to pay $11 for valet. Sat down to our waitress barking at us like a school teacher. She started on the specials and two women at our table were talking. She leaned over and waved her book between them and said "Hey ladies - over here". Like? I understand but that approach is not it. We were sat in a room with a 6 top, 8 top and two 20 tops. It was SO loud we couldn't even hear across our small table. As we were leaving they were seating the second 20 top. Can't imagine how loud it was then. I got the vegetable plate which was pretty great but 2 of the 5 things had fennel and luckily I like it but it was too much for the plate. It was a lot of food! No sauces or unique preparations but good enough. Dry biscuits. The osso bucco and greens were good. Overall pretty basic food in a loud environment with a kinda rude server. Lots of great restaurants in Memphis and I'd recommend another choice."

"Took a work party to McEwen’s this week, and it was great as always. Terrific appetizers including a really nice tuna and some fried oysters that were amazing. Most of had steak for the main, and they were all delicious and cooked perfectly. And the desserts were to die for! On top of the great food and service, I was SO impressed they cleared the icy/snowy street and worked it out to have staff and supplies so they could be open during this winter weather. McEwen’s for the win!"

"In town for work and stopped in to eat. Everything we had was delicious. We started with the baked Brie. It was perfect. A coworker got the organic chocolate stout beer. It might be the best I’ve ever had. I got a smoked Manhattan and it was made perfect. For my entree I got the Pork Buco. I had never had it and got to say it was so good. It sat on a bed of grits that were absolutely delicious. I’ll be back here for sure. We didn’t need a reservation but you might want to make one in case it’s busy."

"Sooooo good! I've said this at least 25 times today, their salmon is PHENOMENAL. 1000/10. I was greeted warmly by this older gentleman with really cool glasses! The service was amazing. Were extremely kind and asking if I needed anything. I'm still not over the flavors I enjoyed at this table. Plus, my entree and sides for just myself just came out to $20. Just exceptional all around and I will be coming here more often!! If you'd like to try a upscale restaurant with delicious food and great service.. come to McEwen's!!!!!!!!!"
