from Google"This is a neat family-owned restaurant, similar to McAlister’s (but better). The owner Robert was super friendly, along with the other staff helping us with everything. Food was great and was served swiftly for a Friday at noon."
"A family-owned lunch place in the East Memphis area is a rare find, and this is a very nice and efficiently run one at that. I opted for the pimento cheese sandwich on marbled rye bread, with all of the default toppings. These included lettuce, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrots and alfalfa sprouts - which all tasted fresh and paired well with the rye and pimento. My only criticism? The layer of pimento cheese was skimpy - especially compared to the heaping of other toppings layered into the 'wich. Had there been double the cheese it would've been perfectly balanced. Next time I'll request extra. Also of note, a bag of chips is included for the price of the sandwich - which was a modest $7.29. Beverages are extra. A great value for the area - and will definitely be returning."
"Food was good but for $17 I had a thin layer of chicken salad and I got a water. Fruit was fresh and good, but I think when you order a chicken salad sandwich, you should have enough protein on the sandwich to feel like it was worth the money."
"While vacationing in Memphis, I came across this establishment, which I learned has a renowned lunch menu. I opted for a chicken salad sandwich on croissant, which was delectable. They also offer exceptional soups, with my personal favorite being the baked potato soup. Their homemade cookies, particularly the peanut butter variety, are simply divine. Therefore, if you are seeking homemade soups and sandwiches, Paradise Cafe is the place to go."
"One of the best longtime local delis in the city. They have a unique touch to their menu items like the sandwiches come with sprouts and shredded carrots. The curry Walnut chicken salad is my favorite but they have many great options. The potato salad is another top pick. I wish they also had the original version with chives (just in case the owner is reading) but the coarse grain mustard and bacon version is great too. Their strawberry soft serve is a crowd favorite. A small cup is like a light palate cleanser at the end of lunch. They also use it in shakes and smoothies. There are usually two soup options every day. I love to stop for lunch when the weather is good and soak it up on their patio."
