"Rum Boogie Café on Beale Street is downright cool! Not an inch of this place goes untouched! There’s so much to look at, it’s incredible. You can feel the energy and history that’s passed through here, even during the day! We had the breaded mushroom appetizer, which hit the spot, and the drinks were heavy pours, a definite plus! Loved the cherry margaritas! There was just one guy running both the bar and food service, and he did a fantastic job keeping everything on the move. They have a separate bar area as well as tables to dine at and watch the stage entertainment. I only wish I could have seen it fully alive at night, but even during the day, Rum Boogie Café has a really unique vibe. Highly recommend stopping in!"

"Our waiter was clearly high, we could smell it. He was friendly tho 😆. The food was terrible. I ordered a catfish sandwich and the lettuce wasn't just wilted, it was molded. The rice wasn't cooked all the way in the red beans. The side of bread we were given tasted funny, like moldy. The catfish itself was fried perfectly. The drink was made well. Everything else was not good."

"Rum Boogie is THE PLACE to be in Memphis. At the corner of BB KING and BEALE, the epicenter of the blues. The sound engineer Robbie has a Note on the sidewalk walk of fame. She runs the best sound on Beale. The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The chairs are the most comfortable on Beale. Thanks to Whitley, our server. She provided us outstanding service in the very challenging environment of the International Blues Challenge. She is absolutely amazing. Go there, you won't be sorry."
