What People Are Saying
from Google"A Shocking Display of Hostility and Rudeness It's clear, based on the volume of 1-star reviews, that the owner is the primary issue with this business, but nothing prepared me for the blatant hostility I witnessed firsthand. I only spent a few minutes browsing before deciding to leave, not because of the products, but because of the palpable tension and the owner's aggressive behavior. While I was in the shop, I watched the owner’s behavior reach an absolutely unacceptable level. I saw them rip a necklace out of a small child’s hand with unnecessary force, followed by nagging the mother. The mother, shocked and silent, immediately put down her basket and walked straight out the door. As someone with over a decade in customer service, let me be clear: there is a massive difference between professionally asking a parent to be mindful of their child's handling of merchandise, and physically snatching an item away from a child and then lecturing the parent. The owner chose the most hostile, aggressive, and unprofessional route possible, completely violating every standard of common courtesy and basic human decency. This isn't just about "bad customer service"—this is about an owner who fosters a toxic and hostile environment. When you combine this aggressive in-person behavior with the defensively rude, unprofessional responses to online reviews, a clear pattern emerges: this owner lacks the temperament, management skills, and foundational respect necessary to run a public-facing retail space. They are failing both in service recovery and initial interaction by actively driving customers away. A business—especially one in the metaphysical space—should be about respect, guidance, and community, yet this shop is defined by hostility and condescension. Do not spend your money here. The atmosphere is toxic, and the owner will actively make your experience worse. The incident I witnessed confirms that the repeated warnings in other reviews are not exaggerated; they are simply documenting the owner's standard operational behavior."

"This is super disappointing. Honestly, 0 Star is way more apt. My family and I stopped by while we waited for our table at the Arcade Restaurant. My wife, her sister and my 3 year old went in. They actually enjoyed looking at the shop. My wife was going to buy a bell that my son wanted ($8) and he was walking with it and started to ring it, my sister in law was going to buy him a necklace and told him to go pick one out. My son went over and was looking at the gems stone necklaces, The owner (Kevin) came by and yanked it out of my son’s hand. “You really need to keep him in hand. It’ll get real expensive real quick. Kids are our best customers.” My wife immediately put down what would have been an over $100 purchase and left because of how overtly rude he ended up being. You don’t touch someone’s kid. I went over and asked for his name I said that my family came in the other day and loved it because I’m not going to yell at someone in their place of business. He proceeded to tell me about all of these family events coming up. For a shop that’s really trying to branch out to so many groups and demographics, on the varying Memphis Tourism foot traffic, the level of immediate disrespect is astonishing. If you’re looking for a crystal shop in Memphis you should skip this place. Ebbos on Madison has much nicer owners. Ps of course your customers are also in the metaphysical space? Why attack them in the comments??"
