What People Are Saying

"I always come here to get sausage biscuits. They are soft and fluffy. Today I came and I got a biscuit that was clearly hard and just didn’t look good at all. I spoke up (as any paying customer should) and told the worker with the mustache that the biscuit APPEARED to be hard and burnt. He took it upon himself to correct me and say it wasn’t “burnt”. The most abhorrent behavior I’ve ever experienced from an employee here. How can you tell a customer what their perception is based on how your company normally prepares the food? Preposterous. Based on this experience, I won’t go back. I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at Donut Country since moving to Murfreesboro. I won’t go back and I will no longer take family members when they come to visit. I guess the employee isn’t privy to taking corrective actions when a customer asks for a simple request. He could have easily apologized like most employees are trained to do, and fixed the very apparent issue. This happened around 9:25am on July 31st."

"Donut Country has an amazing variety of donuts, along with plenty of other breakfast and lunch options to choose from. Everything is always fresh and delicious, and it’s nice having so many choices in one place. The customer service is excellent—friendly, welcoming, and fast. It’s a great spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or picking up something for the whole group. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve had Donut Country many times as coworkers or customers have brought them in and their glazed donuts are excellent! For the first time ever (I’ve lived here 7 years) I decided to go through the drive through. It was nearly 20 minutes with 3-4 cars ahead of me and I still had to pull off and wait for my sandwich. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was extremely greasy, but decent and the hot chocolate was AWFUL. Also, even waiting for the cocoa to cool, it was molten lava boiling hot, so if you have kids you’ll need to wait 15-20 minutes to let that cool. The sprinkled donuts didn’t taste fresh. If this had been my first ever donut country experience - it would be a one star review, but like I said, I’ve had the donuts so many times and they’re typically excellent! I will say to stick to the donuts but don’t order the food/ drinks."

"I went to Donut Country last night, and wow — those donuts are absolutely amazing! They were warm, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff was super friendly, and even though the place is always busy, they have such a smooth system that everything just works perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and every single donut I tried was delicious. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Murfreesboro! 💛"

"Come here for the food and to hang out, but don't prolong your stay. This place is hand-down the best place to go for value when it comes to donuts - a donut usually costs no more than $2 each. Usually they have a pretty good stock of many different kinds of donuts - glazed, filled, iced, and more. The apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are great for sharing. There is enough seating for maybe 30 people. Usually my friends and I will come here to hang out (typically after 8pm), and most of the time they've got several other customers already there. Customer service is very dependent on the cashier each night; it can be either fabulous or mediocre. My favorite employee is a young college-aged man with sandy hair - he fills drinks up to the top and always greets me with a smile. I don't feel like there is much in the way of customer preference (for context, I am Asian), although apparently there have been a few cases of people having subpar experiences because of their race or ethnicity. Unfortunately, I have been scolded for using the restroom late at night multiple times because apparently that's when the employees want to go as well. In every other food service establishment I've been to the customer is always the priority (which makes sense). It's a small thing but often it is the small things that influence one's overall impression of a business. Overall a pretty good place, but unfortunately the "worst" of the ones I've reviewed so far."
