"The staff here has always been really friendly and this is such a quaint little coffee spot. I love making an effort to support small businesses and seeing them flourish. I must also note that I have never before posted a review in any form or fashion. Exiting the coffee shop is nothing short of an acrobatic act fit for the likes of a cirque du soleil performance. On my way out, as I balanced two cups of coffee while holding a bag of pastries in one hand I attempted to turn the door handle and hold the door open for the two patrons behind me. Unbeknownst to me the handle was broken and came right off the door resulting in me spilling the coffee all over myself. Following this the young man working at the shop proceeded to tell me that the handle has been coming off lately. I allowed the two patrons past me and once their was no one around I stepped outside and proceeded to explain to that employee,who was now outside, that this door is problematic on every visit to the business whether me or another customer. His dismissive response was for me to contact the manager. As I continued to explain to him that this is a recurring issue he just became more and more dismissive about the issue. The last time I was in a customer had spilt coffee all over his linen suit first thing in the morning as he struggled with the door and the balancing act. The door has always been an issue but definitely not something I would write in about. The response from that employee is what is troubling and I will definitely never be stepping back into this business based his rude demeanor. The owner, manager and employees obviously know that this is an ongoing issue yet for some reason fail to correct it. Small businesses thrive on the support of the local community and I’m sad to see that this employee doesn’t understand that. Wally"
