"I love Shugga Hi. I’ve recommended it to several people. The food is great, and the portions are plentiful. The owner and staff are attentive and friendly. They’re great about topping off coffee and working together to make sure the tables are covered, if needed. It’s a smaller cafe with beautiful artwork. Enjoy the live jazz during brunch! FYI- Card only (no cash). This time, I ordered a Sprite for $3 and received a can. I’ll stick with water, coffee or juice in the future."

"Wonderful Experience! Ms. Kathy and her very attentive staff made my visit unforgettable! The glorious smells hit my nostrils as soon as I hit the door! I am not a fried chicken fan because rarely do today's restaurants cook it the southern way and with love. But that all changed when I arrived at Shugga Hi Bakery and Cafe! The Chef at Shugga Hi fried this chicken with love and pride! It was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside and without that greasy after taste!! That old Sunday- go- to -meeting kind of church chicken.(iykyk)!The various sides were perfectly seasoned and prepared to perfection! There was kale and cucumber salad! (The southern kind) The place was small and slightly out of the way. However,it was intimately cute and we were immediately and warmly welcomed ! There was live music and smiling staff. If you ordered brunch, eggs were prepared to your specification. Parking can be tight but I promise it is worth a visit. For myself and my Sisterfriends , it was an annual birthday brunch and I am just thrilled we stumbled upon this place! We all purchased dinner plates to go, the food was so delicious! Yes, for an additional fee you can eat brunch there and carry out a worthwhile dinner for later! We also discovered Ms.Kathie and staff pours back into the community by hosting a harvest meal with all the sides for all who need or desires it! My goodness, I am not a Nashville native but I have eaten all over the city. Shugga Hi Cafe has earned the repeat business of myself and my friends. Yall Come! From the moment our food hit the table, you could see and taste that everything was made with intention, care, and a touch of luxury. Every bite felt like comfort food elevated to another level. My friend and I enjoyed every single bite. The dishes were rich, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. The balance of sweet and savory was perfection, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. You can tell this is the kind of place where quality matters from the textures to the seasoning to the presentation. The honey gold chicken wings were crispy, seasoned beautifully, same as the fish and cooked just right. The waffles were fluffy with that perfect golden edge, soaking up syrup like they were made for it. "Got the chicken and waffles and it was excellent. You can choose to have a cake base waffle. Hot Wings were also amazing. We didn’t get too far into the wings and the staff checked in to make sure everything was tasting alright! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs was the only issue we ran into. 10/10."
