"We came to celebrate my girl 50th birthday and all I can say is WOW! Our server Laquez was absolutely amazing. The food OMG was sooooo good. The catfish was season very well, crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. The lamb chops were so tender and the bourbon sauce they put on the chops was very tasty. The drinks were very good. You can definitely taste the alcohol. We also got bottomless mimosas and it was definitely worth it. Everything was sooooooo GOOD!!! To the owner: You are so blessed to have Laquez apart of your team. His hospitality was top notch and his personality was everything a patron look for when dining out. I was traveling on leisure and the next time I’m in Nashville I will definitely be coming back."

"The vibe was there and music was vibing. My lemon drop was dropping. Also the food was pretty good. I went at 3:00pm on a Thursday. My only complaint is for it to have been no one in there the drinks took 10-15 min to get then our food took almost an hour and we got the most simple things but that spinach dip was the best Atl has nothing on it. Would visit maybe just for drinks."

"Soul Restaurant in Nashville was a vibe from start to finish. The ambiance was beautiful, our waitress was good, and the food did not miss. The bang bang chicken was truly banging—and if you order the fried wings, do yourself a favor and get the bang bang sauce on them. Trust me on this one."

"I really wanted to love this place because the ambience is beautiful, the atmosphere and décor are definitely a vibe. One of the waitstaff who initially assisted us was very kind, upbeat, and had great energy, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall service completely missed the mark. I arrived around 5:45 PM, and as of 7:20 PM, I was still waiting on my food. Meanwhile, my friend received her meal and was nearly finished eating while I had nothing. Our table was only checked on once, and I was given a single cup of water with no updates afterward. The most disappointing part was my interaction with a staff member named Tony. He was extremely rude, refused to let me speak with a manager, could not provide any estimate on when my food would arrive, and ultimately told me, “No disrespect, ma’am, but you don’t have to stay here. You can go ahead and leave if you’d like.” That response was unprofessional and unacceptable—especially after such a long wait. The explanation given was that the restaurant was short-staffed and having kitchen issues, but that still doesn’t excuse the lack of communication or basic customer service. Overall, the space looks better than the service delivers. With better staff training, communication, and management presence, this place could be great—but based on this experience, I wouldn’t return."

"The only reason I chose to not give 5 stars was due to whatever problem they were having in the kitchen. We ordered as a table and everyone's food came out at different times, even tables sat after us were receiving food while members in my party were still waiting. Outside of that issue Soul was a vibe. The decor was great for multiple picture taking and the food did not disappoint. Would try again next time I visit Nashville."
