"Hey, have you heard about this new coffee shop in Powell? It’s like a breath of fresh air in the city! Their coffee mocha is to die for, and the coffee shop has a really cool city vibe. The service is great, the environment is cozy, and they have a great selection of bagels, muffins, and cakes."
"I've made a pretty good habit out of coming here on a pretty frequent basis for Chai Latte's. What drew me in is the name Velocity (it's a cool word) and then once I realized it was centered around what is seemingly a love for motorcycles by the owner, the deal was sealed. They have an old BMW with what I believe is sort of horizontally firing engine on it in their dining area. They've curated a really cool spot with a nice selection of drinks, pastries, merch and art influenced by our city. If you're passing through or new to the area, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. A few recommendations though since I'm here-- 1.) Revamp your drive-thru speaker because it's tough to hear even in my quiet car with the radio off. 2.) Train your Baristas to not hand the mobile payment terminal out the window. That's a quick way to spread germs (letting everyone touch it) and it would be much more sanitary to only allow staff to handle the bulk of the unit. I do understand everyone has to touch it to a degree, but minimizing risks should be the goal. 3.) When I send a friend there to get three Latte's ($20 ticket or thereabout) and the flavor tastes off from what it should per their expectations and she calls to request a refund or remake, don't make excuses as to why it tastes like it does until one of the baristas has tasted the drinks themselves to confirm it's not correct. Things happen I understand and I'm not going to penalize the company in this review for it based on my own experiences, but I wanted to note it. How you handle customers on the backend of the sale is just as important as the front end."
"I’m always a little skeptical when a place has overwhelming positive reviews but this place does actually deserve 5 stars all around. Great little atmosphere, they had a fall little decorations, so cute. Coffee and bagels both good. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. One thing to note is Google maps tries to makes you leave the Main road but you can easily get to it from Clinton Hwy."
"Ordered the seasonal White Pumpkin Bliss and a coffee cake muffin, but they were out of the muffin, so I ended up with a chocolate chip muffin. Latte was pretty good, but had a strange fruity taste. Muffin is about what you’d expect for a small coffee shop. If in the Knoxville area, it can’t hold a candle to Fable Hollow or Warehouse, but it’s way better than a gas station one. Drink got worse as I kept going - didn’t finish it. Atmosphere may be different at peak or even just morning time. At 1pm this day, there were a bunch of country old people that continued to stare at everyone and were fairly uncomfortable. The staff was pretty friendly but seemed to have a hard time understanding my words. Overall, I’ll come back and try something different. Not my favorite coffee place, but good enough. The drive-thru is a plus."
