What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"Great ambiance and a perfect spot for late-night coffee or tea with snacks. The place has a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to sit and chat. We tried the honeycomb bun and butter bun, and both were delicious. We also sampled a few teas, which was a nice experience and helped us decide. We ended up ordering the Mofawer coffee—the pot was quite large for the three of us, so we couldn’t finish it and took the rest to go. Personally, the coffee flavor wasn’t fully my preference, as it had strong ginger and elaichi (cardamom) notes, but that’s more of a personal taste thing than a quality issue. I really liked the sampler tray available to shop, and the owner was very friendly, patiently explaining options and helping us choose. Overall, a wonderful experience with great ambiance, welcoming service, and unique flavors. Definitely worth visiting—especially if you enjoy traditional Yemeni coffee and tea."

"This is an comfortable, upscale coffee shop that is friendly and welcoming. People were enjoying their Sunday afternoons there in groups along with several people working on their laptops. It has a very international feel with people from all countries and faiths. I was even able to learn new words in the Arabic and Turkish languages. The mocha coffee and tea were full of flavor but not overly sweet like most American coffee shops. Their large selection of pastries are unique and absolutely some of the best in Austin! Their apricot and fig fruit balls are superb AND GLUTEN FREE."

"I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest time. Lucky for me I was picking up my car so I was able to stop in. Their matcha is amazing. And I also got a sand Dune latte with an extra shot. Both drinks were delicious if not a tad bit sweet. Next time I’ll ask for light sweet if possible. I also got their baklava to try and I’m very excited to try those! They look great."

"Delicious Yemen teas and other options. I recommend the Red Tea (iced or hot) flavor is hint of spicy & sweet. The limeade I believe they use whole lemons so it has bold sharp flavor."

"The iced sand dune latte was so, so, so good. It's sweet, it's got the delicious 'spice' from the cardamom, topped with whipped cream and sugar crunchies..."
