from Google & Yelp"I went here for breakfast while visiting my friend. The food and coffee are delicious. The service was very friendly. We went around 9 or so and were seated right away. It did get a lot busier as we were there though. This is the best coffee I have had in Austin yet!"
"Overall, it was a great experience! Visited Austin Java at about 730 on a Monday morning. Was not crowded at all. Ordered a coffee and decided to order breakfast with my partner. The food was hot and fresh! Everything had great flavor! Service was friendly and attentive! I think this will become a go-to breakfast spot for us!"
"This place is perfect for breakfast or brunch. I had a super fresh and tasty omelet, and the portions were really generous. The staff was polite and helpful, explained everything on the menu. You can tell it’s a popular spot, we got there around 10 a.m., and it was almost full, but we still found a table. The coffee was great too, smooth taste, not too much milk, just how I like it in the morning. We had such a good time. I think this might become our go-to breakfast place. Prices are fair, most breakfast dishes start around $12–13, and it’s totally worth it. Big thanks to the kitchen: my omelet was honestly perfect. The space is bright and open, with plenty of seating inside and outside"
"Chose our last ATX meal, before heading back to Houston, to be at Austin Java. My guy got the Chicken and Waffles, and I got the Avocado Toast. Thinking about how big an Avocado Toast tends to be, I threw on a breakfast biscuit Sammy. OK, they just shamed First Watch, and La La Land with their Avocado Toast. The portion was huge! The ciabatta was beautifully made. This had pesto, and a subtly sweet tomato jam on it. It is then topped with queso fresco, bacon, and blistered cherry tomatoes. About that bacon: every bit was crunchy. The small detail of chopping the bacon prior to cooking ensured that every piece is crispy, much like the highly sought after corner piece of brownie. I added a side of Hollandaise for the poached egg. I had already promised my guy one of the four pieces. A decision I reluctantly followed through with. Five of of five stars, would demolish again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"Got fat shamed by the waitress for ordering a breakfast quesadilla for myself. Me and my boyfriend went and each got a breakfast quesadilla. I love the breakfast quesadilla from here! However when we ordered the waitress asked if I was sure I wanted one for myself cus “most people” share it and get so full. She said she was just trying to save us money so I chalked it up to that. But then when she picked up our plates after we finished she kept going on about how she was so surprised we finished it. She even said “as a big back I can’t even finish it I’m surprised yall did” I have never felt so shamed about what I ate. A waiter should never comment on a customers food and eating. I wanted to tell the manager myself of our experience but I was too hurt so My boyfriend told the manager and she was very understanding. Y’all should rename it to the big back breakfast quesadilla now because I guess only big backs finish it. Never going back ! No longer my favorite breakfast spot , what a shame."
