What People Are Saying
from Google"Visited Bakery Lorraine at The Domain Northside and really liked the overall experience. The vibe is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes it a pleasant place to spend time. I tried their hot chocolate, and it was good — I’d rate it around 3.5/5. It wasn’t outstanding, but still enjoyable. What really stands out is the atmosphere. It’s a great spot to sit, relax, and even get some work done for a few hours. If you’re in The Domain and looking for a comfortable café with a nice ambience, this is a solid choice."
"My favorite place in the Domain! Fast-casual counter-ordering service that brings fresh food to your table. Great for meeting with family or friends, or for working solo thanks to the coveted ledge seating with a perfect window view of the Rock Rose street walkers. There’s also plenty of indoor and outdoor covered seating. Their coffee is fantastic with tons of options, they offer wine & glass-bottled sodas, a variety of delectable pastries, and a seasonal menu full of fresh, real food. My only hope is that you’re here while they’re serving either the Turkish eggs or the Cuban sandwich — both go absolutely crazy. They’re the kind of meals you dream about long after you’ve finished them. I always opt into swapping the chips for the roasted potatoes and grab the hot sauce at the self-service station ;)"
"I've said it before many times and I'd say it again.. I'm not a big fan of places where u order and tips are asked for upfront before even experiencing the service.. It was a late lunch for us (after 2pm) because we had just hiked and needed a spot that still served hot coffee & breakfast.. thought this place would be good.. Noone can ever get over medium well eggs and what a disappointment when we received our eggs scrambled.. why that happened, idk.. sucks being asked how we want our eggs and get it completely wrong, and although the attempt to fix it was offered and appreciated, still got the eggs wrong.. disappointing.. Food was ok, potatoes were kind of "weird".. only thing was good was our cappuccinos and fresh fruits on the side.. wanted a breakfast sandwich and another thing on the menu that required croissant, but they were out.. so we opted for a breakfast plate instead.. how are u a bakery and run out croissants?? Most likely won't be coming back.."
"The bakery has an Austin vibe! It is a relaxing place to meet and greet, or just chill. It is on an upscale side of town so the prices are adequate for the location. The scones are a must as they are served warm."
"We went for brunch and there was a long line, moved quickly though. We got cappuccino, chocolate croissant, matcha panna cotta, French toast and Frittata. The coffee tasted like plain warm milk — bland and disappointing. The French toast felt more like deep-fried bread than anything else. Both the frittata and panna cotta were just average, while the chocolate croissant was the only thing that actually tasted good. Overall, not a great experience — and everything was overpriced."
