from Google & Yelp"Oh man oh man I LOVE THIS place. Why? Because it reminds me of old Austin I miss, the Austin is weird part that supports local artisans/businesses and is funky and cute without being bougie and pretentious like the newer places coming in. Although it’s located in a newer building the coffee shop is such a welcoming space and reminds me of the old Austin vibe I miss. Located in central East Austin, Dear Diary has a plethora of vegan drink and treats and don’t be thinking just because it’s vegan it lacks in flavor and delivery. I had their special lavender black matcha which was earl grey lavender drink and it was delicious and creamy even with using oat milk. Food wise I had the spicy seitan kolache that was warmed up and delicious. Service was super friendly (I am sorry I can’t call out barista so she gets the $5 tip but she has extremely short hair working Sunday afternoon). Space inside is beautiful with plenty of tables to sit and work and the chairs all have cushions which makes the chairs more comfortable. The music they were playing in the background was soothing. Also free WiFi was strong! Parking is also free and easy plenty of street parking."
"Enchanting beautiful coffee shop! Wallace was super pleasant and we enjoyed the yogurt parfait! The chai lattes were so yummy! Cute stuff in the shop and love that Bob Ross is playing on the TV. Whimsical vibes 😍"
"I’ve been going here for about a year now - it is AMAZING. The vibes. The matcha. Coffee. ART! Tacos. Sweets. It’s great for both vegans and non vegans - you won’t be disappointed. As a vegan myself though I absolutely appreciate this place 💜 shout out to Wallace, the best barista ever. So sweet and kind every time."
"This is the cutest coffee shop in central Austin! Coffee was great and Wallace was super nice. I had no problems taking a call from work and enjoying my coffee. The store also has amazing art, jewelry and crafts for sale from local artists."
"Exciting, welcoming coffee house with all-vegan baked goods and coffee drinks. In keeping with the name of the place, they also have community journals to which customers can contribute. Beyond their several tables and chairs for enjoying coffee, they also have a lot of local art for sale as well as stationary and many writing tools. Free street parking is available nearby. This is a great place to have a drink and feel a sense of community."
"This place is fantastic. Great coffee and the best vibes. Wallace and Adel were tremendously helpful and very kind."
