"Houndstooth is a small coffeeshop chain which has locations in Austin and Dallas. The shop I go to most, is the one on Rock Rose at the Domain, as my wife works down the road from it. I’ve been going to this place on and off for just over a year. The staff are really nice and the place is kept clean and tidy. It has a simple, modern design which works, plus they also sell merch if you want a cup, hat or t-shirt! The location isn’t very big, but there’s plenty of seating inside, as well as outlets to use if you’re going here to study, browse or just relax. They also sell a range of beer and wines, so you can get a lil chaser of your favourite tipple, which is great because it’s open from 7am-9pm, so you can walk right out onto the main road which is full of bars if you want to keep the party going. The coffee is rich and tasty, plus they do a small selection of pastries and breakfast tacos (Tacodeli) in the morning. Warning, the Tacos go QUICK if you’re looking start with the handheld bundles of joy. Overall, it’s a great coffeshop for the coffee itself, its atmosphere, placement, and selection of drinks."

"TL;DR – excellent third wave coffee in a spacious, accessible space. Not good for very sweet drinks. Houndstooth brews my favorite cup of black coffee in Austin ⭐ The house drip is great for a more traditional cup of medium roast black coffee, and the reserve drip is typically lighter and fruiter. Both are great. Their espresso drinks are also excellent. Note that Houndstooth is *not* a great place to order a sweet drink if you're looking for something really sweet. While I'm sure they would add extra sweetener if you ask, by default their mochas and seasonal drinks are not very sweet. I suggest you go to Summer Moon if you're looking for a treat ;) Houndstooth has multiple locations in Austin, and what's extra nice about this one at the Domain is that it's spacious with a lot of seating. It's typically pretty busy on a weekday morning, but the line moves quickly. There are 10+ tables plus a lot of bar seating, so I can always find a seat to work from. The one thing they could improve is signage about where to order/get in line. It is not obvious for first-timers, and the baristas frequently have to redirect folks who expect to order at the tablet. This feels very easy to solve with an "order here" sign above the espresso machine and a "pay here" sign above the point of sale."

"We went to have some coffee and work from the coffee shop. We got seasonal pumpkin and cherry coffe. Both were average and tepid though asked for extra hot. Also biggest con, they don’t have even a single charging slot. So people planning to work from the cafe, not here."

"This seems more like a pub that thought they might enter the coffee game as well. Honestly the people that worked there are super nice but the coffee was so-so at best. My wife got the cappuccino and I got a latte. Curiously enough, they put my latte in a to-go cup and her cappuccino in a proper mug.
