What People Are Saying
from Google"My friend and I really enjoyed this spot. The barista, Jaelyn, was super sweet and made us delicious lattes. She recommended the Chelsea Latte, and it was the perfect compliment to the chilly afternoon with warm notes of cardamom and cinnamon. It was balanced in having a punchy coffee flavor and sweetness from the flavorings. Others visitors/customers were quietly working, and my friend and I enjoyed the cute and comfortable 2 seater couch by the window. There are plenty of high and low sitting options and LOTS of natural light. I also really enjoyed the gluten-free chocolate blondie, and I don’t normally like gluten-free treats. Thank you again, Jaelyn, for a wonderful visit at Chelsea Coffee House. My friend and I look forward to visiting again soon!"
"Long time customer! I’ve gotten to know a lot of the baristas that work here and they make amazing coffee, care about customer feedback, and are overall very friendly. However, they turnover so fast? I’ve seen at least five baristas leave, as well as the manager, which is quite discouraging. The overall shift to Merit Coffee was quite disappointing as well… baristas explained it was the owner’s wishes. Meeting room prices are also very high for rooms that are not temperature regulated, and with most of them having broken TVs and outlets. Owner seems very money motivated, and does not care about customers. New employees are very lackluster, uneducated in coffee, and slightly rude. How does one not know what a cortado is while working in a coffee shop? I was given a moldy croissant, and the food is cold in the middle. For this reason, I believe I will no longer be a customer."
"I worked here for about a year and had a very negative experience overall. The owner, Michael Parker, was extremely unprofessional and created a disorganized and stressful work environment. Communication was poor, expectations constantly changed, and employees were rarely given proper support or guidance. There were also ongoing sanitation concerns, including refrigerators not being kept at safe temperatures for food and milk, which was especially concerning in a food service setting. Employee turnover was extremely high — even the manager ended up leaving — and despite being the longest-lasting employee at the time, I was terminated without any warning or explanation. Overall, this business showed little regard for its employees or for basic operational standards. I would not recommend working here or supporting this establishment."
"More than a great coffee shop this is a lovely space for coworking and networking. Sarah was very polite and made a great recommendation for a Pumpkin loaf, better than any pumpkin loaf I’ve ever had. The Cappuccino was also great. If you need the perfect, professional, tranquil space to meet clients or friends this is the spot in DFW."
"I met 2 friends at Chelsea Hall Coffee House and Eatery in Colleyville on Glade Road … the food was very good! We had the mushroom quiche, avocado toast, and chicken salad sandwich which comes with a spinach salad with tomatoes and balsamic dressing. I’d definitely go back for the food!! I’m sure the coffee is great but, I’m not a coffee drinker! My only negative is that a 16oz iced tea is $3 with no refills – I know it’s a “coffee shop and tutoring center” but, it would be nice to have a container of tea out where we “tea total-ers” could get our own refill (tea is so cheap to make) and enjoy the space too."
