from Google"The Clifton Club is a great cocktail bar in the Fitzhugh/Travis area. Inside, there are two areas: a more classic bar area and a more laid back lounge area. We were in the lounge area and really enjoyed how laid it back was. The interior inside has a really neat retro yet chic aesthetic that fit in well with the idea behind the bar. We went for happy hour and got a french 75 and dark and stormy. Both cocktails were excellent and the ten dollar price was a plus. Many people around us got food (a lot of great options on the happy hour menu) and it all looked incredible. We enjoyed our time here and plan to come back again. It is also right next to Beverleys which makes it a nice pairing for drinks at the Clifton Club then dinner at Beverleys."
"Super cute place for drinks and small bites. Staff is nice. Hard to get seated but still loved it. Will definitely be a regular here."
"Had the best time ! We went on a Sunday night for trivia at 7pm. It’s a small little space and can get crowded (highly recommend making a reservation). We sat at the bar, but we had so much fun. We ordered mozzarella sticks to share and it came with spicy ranch and spicy marinara sauce, so good! For our entrees, I ordered the spicy tuna fried rice, it was very tasty and fresh. My friend ordered the steak frites with fries and they both were booked to perfection. The fries have a good crispy and seasoning to them. They are a little pricy but overall I feel like they are both the cost and the vibes of the space is nice! Will definitely be returning again !"
"My wife and I like to go out on date nights once or twice a month and usually look for comfortable cocktail lounges where we can relax and unwind after a long week. One of our go-to spots is Perry’s Steakhouse & Grill in the Park District, where we often sit in their Bar 79 Lounge. This time, we decided to try something new for a change of scenery and booked a reservation at Clifton’s Club through Resy about a week in advance for 8 p.m. on Saturday. When we arrived, we mentioned our reservation and assumed we’d be seated at a table. Instead, we were placed in the small lounge area at a tiny round table. The seating was very firm and not the most comfortable, more springy than supportive. I asked if we could move to a table, but was told those were reserved for larger parties. I understood, but during our hour and a half there, we noticed several tables being seated with couples. Since we had requested a table when making the reservation, it would’ve been nice to at least be asked if we wanted to move when one opened up. The lounge itself has a nice, dark, and relaxed vibe, but it’s small, which makes it louder than expected for a place marketed as a cocktail lounge. On the positive side, the service was great, and both the drinks and appetizers were excellent. Valet service was also friendly and prompt. Overall, Clifton’s Club might be a good stop for a quick drink or two before heading out for a night on the town. But if you’re looking for a quiet, upscale spot to sit and enjoy a few hours with your spouse or friends, this probably isn’t the place. It just wasn’t what we were hoping for, so we’ll likely stick to our usual favorites next time."
"Love the vibe, food was great! Service was amazing from the start.. Thank you to the Valet, our server, and cooks. My favorite item on the menu had to be the spicy tuna crispy rice, everything we had was delicious."
