What People Are Saying
from Google"BEWARE HIDDEN SERVICE FEES: I completely agree with the other one-star reviews. The staff AND management here are incredibly rude. Went to pick up a few of the Christmas mugs during their “Sippin’ Santa” holiday pop up. I approached the bartender who referred me to a waitress to purchase the mugs I was interested in. That alone took about ten minutes as she was busy waiting on other guests. While waiting, the bartender kept giving me this look that I was bothering him. Upon returning with the mug, she proceeded to ring up the transaction on her mobile credit card terminal. I looked at the total which seemed rather high. After running my card and printing a receipt, I saw I was charged not only for the one mug at $29.95 but also a sneaky additional 20% service fee of $5.99. I asked if she could please remove the $5.99 service fee from my bill. This took another ten minutes. After waiting for her to return I noticed the manager had been sitting at the bar across from me this entire time. He approached me in a confrontational way asking me “what I needed”. I informed him that I was waiting for the credit card reversal. He at this point became agitated with my request and said he was “matching my energy”. Weird right ? He then grabbed the original receipt from me which showed the service fees and crumpled it up in his hand. I said I would like to have that original receipt back please but he refused. Fortunately, I had taken a photo of the original receipt with the service fees. He then said “the credit went through bro”. Bro? Is that how you speak to your customers? I am not your “bro”. He then said “now leave” which I gladly did. Overall, it took 30 minutes to purchase one mug, was treated disrespectfully AND asked to leave. I seriously doubt this place will be in business much longer. Take a look at the numerous one-star reviews here. Sounds like Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue needs to pay this place a visit. They also search all ladies’ purses upon leaving to ensure you didn’t steal one of their precious mugs."
"This place was okay. There were a few flies around my food since the place is open door 🥴. The server brought a flycatcher that didn’t do much. I ate all my food, the staff had avg service, and the popcorn and drinks were fine. It wasn’t horrible, but I probably won’t go back. Average experience. Not exceptional good but nothing horrible happened. I think it’s still a good place to go in the area."
"My 1st time coming here. The atmosphere is so jolly and festive. It’s so beautiful and Christmas lights and decorations everywhere."
"The restaurant/bar is nicely decorated. The first floor is for a more formal experience and the rooftop is casual of course. Good music but a little loud. There was only one person serving all the tables of the rooftop for dinner on a Thursday evening. Of course not a good idea since he needed help. The food was good. Good vibes in general."
"We have tried this place several times for brunch. Recently, we sat outside on the covered patio and had a good time. We started with the spicy tuna sticky rice. It had great flavor and was a nice portion to share. I had the bacon and egg breakfast tacos (3). My wife had the chicken schnitzel with eggs and grits. The portion sizes match the decent prices. The bar area inside looked nice and there is a roof top we haven’t checked out yet. We will be back for more brunch menu items and/or a happy hour sometime. Definitely recommend giving it a try."
