"I’m on a mission to try new coffee shops and La Casita did not disappoint! Not only is it attached to a book store (perfect Saturday morning) but the food and drinks are delicious! Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had and my wife loved the crispy potato sandwich. This place will be in heavy rotation!"

"This little shop is located inside the Half Price Books in Dallas. The atmosphere is good! But most because it's in a library. The decor is warm and inviting, but it's not enough to make up for the full trash cans, the expensive coffee served in the cheapest paper cups possible, the non fresh baked treats that were dried out. Then you have a 30 minute wait if you want to get the only decent item here, the egg, ham and cheese quiche. It's good! But not $8 good. If you don't mind to come here to overpay for a coffee and maybe a dried out pastry, just to enjoy the quiet study area and check out some books, otherwise I'd steer clear."

"This is my friend's go-to brunch spot, and it never disappoints! Their matcha is delicious, and they always keep the pastry menu interesting with new flavors each month. Although the space is small and easy to appear packed, they are decently fast with their service."

"The coffee was good. But I will say the only cool thing about this coffeeshop is it’s located within the Half Price books. Customer service isn’t good. Whenever my family and I visited the employees were in their own world. The hostess was chatting it up upfront with another employee. The staff overall is not attentive to the customers. Whenever my family and I entered the shop, we asked the hostess about the kids house we had heard about. She proceeded to say that there’s nothing for the kids. I asked her, “how about within Half Price books?” She proceeded to say that there’s nothing there for the kids either. While my husband placed our coffee order I proceeded to go tour Half Price Books and look for the kids section. I was able to find the kids house and the cute area for littles to play. When I came back to the shop I kindly proceeded to let the hostess know about the kids area within Half Price Books and told her it’s great information for her to know so she won’t provide incorrect information to future parents. Her response is was sadly dismissive. She proceeded to respond in a very bothered way and smirked. This is sad because I was simply giving her information to have for future customers. The place is also super small and tight. We got our coffee to go and & headed over to Half price books. If you have toddlers, kids or crawling babies, I do recommend grabbing some coffee and heading over to the kids section within Half Price books. There’s a cute little kids play house and small chairs for the kids to sit and read. Or to play around within the kid house. I will say that’s the only plus with this coffeeshop. Other than that, it’s not a coffeeshop I’d recommend to anyone. Customer service is horrible."
