"Le Bon Temps was easy to find, and although the shop is small, the flavor of the beignets is anything but. When I arrived, the Latina woman taking orders didn’t seem to be having the best day—which happens to all of us—but the red-haired Caucasian woman was much more welcoming. I ordered the beignets with caramel sauce, and they were excellent. After one bite I had powdered sugar all over my beard, so I had to wait until I got home to fully enjoy them. I still need to make a trip to New Orleans for a true comparison, but these definitely hit the spot. I’ll be coming back again."

"I was visiting Texas from Quebec so it was funny to see a place with a French name while abroad. This was the closest I've come to an authentic New Orleans beignet and it was delightful. The doughnuts were much larger than I expected. I wish I could have just grabbed one to try but I get that they need to move volume to make the business work. Price is more than fair for how much you get anyhow especially for the classic. Service was great just like every place I tried in Texas!"

"Le Bon Temps is a charming little spot tucked away in Deep Ellum, not far from downtown Dallas. They offer a variety of beignet styles, but I went with the classic—and it did not disappoint. I bought a half dozen to share, and everyone raved about how fresh and delicious they were. They also serve a selection of coffee drinks, making it a perfect stop for a sweet treat and a caffeine fix. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!"

"As a restaurant, you can sometimes survive mediocre service if the food is exceptional (see: the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld). Unfortunately, this place offers neither. Without exaggeration, this was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. The two women working the morning of 1-11-2026 were openly dismissive, unhelpful, and seemed inconvenienced by customers simply trying to order. They couldn’t be bothered to describe their own menu, made no effort to upsell or engage, and carried an attitude that was outright hostile. As a business owner, it’s obvious when employees actively damage an establishment. These are exactly the types of interactions that drive customers away permanently, and management should seriously consider retraining—or replacing—staff who represent the brand this poorly. The food itself felt like an afterthought, which is especially unforgivable given the number of far better beignet spots in Dallas that manage to serve great food without unnecessary attitude.
