"Fantastic food and ambiance, questionable portion size. We ordered a la carte instead of the tasting menu. Of the drinks we ordered (fernet-ture, fire island, wake and bake), I enjoyed the fire island the most and fernet-ture to be mediocre. Icelandic hot dog and I'll shoyu were both delightful and pleasant. We were told that the pork belly lollipop, don't be shellfish, and the lamb belly were sharable, but I highly disagree. We did share the three (all delicious, with the ocean trout being the highlight) but were mostly left not fully sated as the portion is barely for one person (closer to half-portion size, considering we live in Texas). We were not sated until dessert, where the cheesecake and Kraut cake can definitely be shared across three to four people for each cake. The ganache and the meringue on the Kraut cake are addicting and a must-try. This place would be an absolute 5-star review if the portions of the a la carte were larger. I do want to try the tasting menu one day, but the price tag is quite too high, even for a high-end restaurant that hasn't achieved a michelin star yet. I will visit again, although only for special occasions rather than frequent."

"This is absolutely the BEST restaurant in Dallas, TX. Hands down, no debate. From the top tier service/hospitality shown as soon as you walk through the door to the delicious, creative cocktails, and finally to the AMAZING cuisine. You won’t find higher quality anywhere else. It’s an incredible dining experience anyone will love!"

"We tried the grains tasting menu. Everything was plated beautifully. Had some hiccups in the courses but the service was fantastic. A nice dining experience."

"The place was amazing and the atmosphere as well, very dark academia aesthetic, the food was really unexpected but really good, and drinks were just as good. Wendy also gave us the best service and we even got to meet the chefs which is rare in many restaurants. I would definitely come back!"

"Where to begin... I picked this place for a dinner date night with my wife after seeing a 4.5 star review on Google and it seemed at quick glance the prices were reasonable. This was our stop before a concert at the Meyerson which we've done many times over the past 25+ years. We were both so disappointed with a restaurant experience we've never had before. First the good: Not much really. Atmosphere was nice. Presentation was very nice. Pretty much stops there. The not so good to just bad: Drinks. I ordered one drink that sounded interesting. Neither of us liked it. So bad, I sent it back and tried something else. I think that's the first time I've done that in my life. If I've sent a drink back before, I can't even remember when it was. Second drink was just ok at best. Food. Just not good. We ordered 3 items. Two are in one of my pictures. Those were just ok at best. The 3rd one was so bad we couldn't even eat it and there wasn't much to each. There was a lot of pickled stuff in it and it was sooo overpowering and so strong we couldn't taste anything else. My wife LOVES pickles stuff and even she was cringing and stopped after a couple bites. Both of us are quite food adventurous, not very picky, and will try just about anything. We tried this and it was just not good. We ended up stopping for some fast food after our concert. Service. Just ok. Not bad, just nothing special especially considering the place it is and also finally... Price. Not sure how I was so deceived. Very pricey. Drinks were generally all $18 and up which is more than most places. One of those small items was $14 and the other was $20. Third item was $22 I believe. That's way to much for what it is. If it was something that was super delicious and stood out, I still would think a bit over priced but since it was barely good to not good at all, way too much. In all our years of date nights and picking different restaurants around the metroplex to try new things, this is the most disappointed we've ever been. Maybe this is just not our thing. I just don't understand where the 4.5 star rating is coming from. I don't like giving anything a 1 star review, but as I kept thinking about it, I can't give it any higher overall as we were so disappointed. My recommendation is take your money and go elsewhere. There's plenty of restaurants out there to choose from."
