What People Are Saying

from Google

"Garlic bagel is the only one I tried so I can’t speak to the other flavors. The dough was crisp on the outside with soft dough in the inside. Great texture and a punch flavor. I am also not a bagel connoisseur so I can’t say it’s the best bagel since I don’t normally eat them often. I always ask myself, would I eat it again or recommend it to someone? Big yes. Next time, I would like to try their other flavors!"

"If you go I highly recommend you try to avoid peak times because they habitually mess up orders. Plus the place is very small and hard to move around. Customers constantly going in through the exit cause more chaos. Parking can be tough during peak times (Mockingbird location is run better and far less chaos along with I have never had an order mess d up there). The bagels are not the best in Dallas but are soft, moist and good size. The bagel alone price is consistent for the area but $3.50 for a smear of cream cheese is excessive. The onion bagel is terrible flavor wise as there are barely any onions whatsoever. The French toast bagel however is very good. The salt bagel does have a salt taste but again barely any salt is on the bagel. I will say as born and bread in New York my expectations are high when it comes to a bagel. If you're from New York and enjoy the rainbow cookies popular in Jewish & Italian bakeries up north don't count on these living up to it as they miss the mark."

"Best bagels in town. Shuggs absolutely nails it crispy on the outside, perfectly chewy on the inside, exactly what a great bagel should be. I like mine double toasted, and they get it spot on every time without drying it out. Service is fast and efficient, even when it’s busy. These bagels are genuinely comparable to good New York–style bagels, which is saying something. If you’re serious about bagels, this place is a must."

"Stopped by Shug’s Bagels on Lemmon and it was a solid experience overall. The place was nice and clean inside and my food came out hot and fresh. They got my order right which I always appreciate. The sandwich had good texture and everything was cooked well, but I was hoping for just a little more flavor, it felt like it was missing a small boost to really make it pop. Still, it’s a reliable spot and I’d come back to try something different. Very solid breakfast stop"

"Shug’s is amazing! We ordered the egg & cheese and the ranch! Both awesome on bagels. Just service needs to slow down and repeat orders before people pay out. The jalapeño cheese bagel is really good. Order the spicy shug sauce for extra flavor!!"
