What People Are Saying

"This was our first time at Village and the baked goods were delightful. The croissants were delicious! They do have coffee, matcha, and tea. I knocked a star off service because we weren’t asked if we wanted our goods warmed up (only found out by watching them do so for others) and that would’ve been a great option had we known. Our drinks also took a while to make, seemed the same for a handful of people also waiting on drinks. Other than that, I think if it weren’t for being a busier Sunday morning I think everything would’ve been 5 stars across the board. The area itself is very much alive and poppin’ on weekend nights. Tons of restaurants, bars and live music. It was our first time in the Bishop Arts district and ended up being our favorite area during our staycation, so much so, we went everyday to try a new place. During the mornings, it’s completely the opposite. It’s quiet and subtle, but there’s a handful of coffee shops, bakeries and eateries for breakfast and brunch. A great area for a morning stroll! There is a paid parking lot but we mostly drove around until we found free street parking. It was much easier to find parking in the daytime."

"Heavenly. This place is so good that we rushed out of bed when we woke up to start our day with this DELICIOUS ESTABLISHMENT. The staff are super welcoming and friendly and are social. Most coffee places the workers are miserable or talk too much. These workers were that perfect in-between. My lady got a basic croissant. But of course she had it toasted; she’s not an animal that eats room temperature croissants. She inhaled the flakey pastry. I was dumb founded. When I asked if it was good she just had a sinister smile on her face like a dog does when he knows he did something bad. I of course had to get the Pumpkin Pie Cookie. I was a little hesitant when I first saw it because I didn’t know if I’d like it. LET ME TELL YALL that cookie made me emotional. That cookie did something to my soul. After eating that cookie I understood what it meant to be happy. The cookie came with raisins which I was worried about because I didn’t know if it would work with the pumpkin but they escalate the flavor and POWER this cookie had over me. This cookie is only limited time and I suggest you order it because it is worth every bite. Sadly we are leaving Dallas to go back home. The Village Baking Co. is truly a place we will look back at with glee. They truly deserve all the attention they can get. Well done."

"Such a great place to sit and enjoy the nice weather. Came here as I had been wanting to try for a while. The ambience of the place is very bright yet cozy. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the staff is very friendly here. Their pastry options are beautifully displayed in a glass case. We ordered one of each savory croissants + the fruit tart and almond pear tart. To drink we got the iced mocha as per recommended by the staff and the iced Chai Latte. We loved everything we had, the food is made with love and it's very visible ."

"Popped in to escape the heat. Cool, crisp, inviting, and delicious! Tried the iced basil vanilla latte. Heavenly! Huge array of baked goods all displayed enticingly. Open and airy, but there is also a cozier, smaller fireplace room that would be a delightful spot to spend time with friends. Refreshing!"

"If there is a more perfect bakery, I have yet to find it. We make it a habit to stop here every single time we come to Dallas. Anytime someone tells me..."
