"Disappointing overall. The only reason it has 2 stars is because the service is good and the baristas are nice. I have been able to come by alot since it opened and try out most of the menu. FRAPPES: The worst! I have tried all the flavors and they are all so watery and the ice is so chunky. ICED COFFEES: Sooooo watery and bitter. On rare occasion a barista will make it decent but its usually not the case. Adding cold foam will disguise the bad taste but then the drink gets more expensive than it already is. LEMONADES: Straight up syrup. Intensely sweet and sour, they can’t find a balance. HOT DRINKS: I’ve only been able to try a few hot lattes that were watery (not surprising) and a few okay cappucinos. PASTRIES: Overpriced and store bought- they taste good though. CHAI: I really like chai but this one was unbelievably bad. It tasted like medicine and made my mouth burn. If you want good Chai I reccomend going to Coffe Zone or Black Honey. MATCHA: This was the most disappointing one. Since doodl is close to my house I really hoped I would find good matcha. I ordered both hot and iced - but unfortunately it is very chalky and low quality. Not smooth at all. And again very watered down. It’s much easier to make better match at home than spend $7+ here. PLACE: Its a cute place, they keep it clean. The big windows do make it heat up because of the sun but I noticed they put up some window films that should block out some of it. PRICE: It’s kind of expensive- I understand they’re a small business though so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I probably would come again, it’s a nice place to hang out with friends. I just will not expect greatness from the menu anymore. And once more- the baristas are very nice and the service is good. Just a shame that the drinks weren’t :("
