"We visited Creamery and Café Dumont recently and overall had a good experience. The ambience of the shop was enjoyable, a nice spot to hang out. I especially appreciated that they had a basil mint sorbet that was both vegan, which was unique and quite good. That said, there are a couple of areas for improvement. One policy that doesn’t make much sense to me is the extra $0.99 charge if you want to mix and match two different flavors in a two-scoop order. It feels like this should just be included in the regular cost of two scoops, and it may frustrate customers. As for the ice cream itself, it was solid but not particularly extraordinary compared to other shops. I’d love to see them expand their dairy-free options and elevate the overall quality a bit more to stand out. Overall, it’s a pleasant place with good ice cream and atmosphere, but there’s definitely room to refine both the pricing structure and the menu to better match what today’s consumers are looking for."

"An amazing variety of premium ice cream flavors, excellent coffee, and friendly atmosphere, make Dumont Creamery and Cafe an ideal spot for an upscale dessert outing. Their ice creams are made with a heavy cream, but are light on the palate with intense flavors. They offer samples prior to purchase. My wife and I shared a scoop of Kheer (almond/rice flavor?) and a scoop of coffee ice cream with a Spanish latte (cinnamon and condensed milk). It was really good! There is a lot of good ice cream places in McKinney, but Dumont Creamery stands out because of its variety of flavors and fresh ingredients(I.e. New Zealand Honey Combs, oatmeal cherry cookies, organic strawberries, etc…). You can taste the difference!"

"The ambiance is awesome, with a cozy and modern aesthetic that makes for a perfect family outing. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff who are always ready to help. We had a great time trying out various ice cream flavors, and the kheer ice cream is definitely a highlight. Flavors like kheer, butterscotch, and coffee are definitely worth trying we had a fantastic experience. Overall, Dumont Creamery & Cafe is a great spot for dessert lovers, with generous portions and reasonable prices."

"This place is a gem! very refined taste and flavors. It’s not dumped with sugar and I got to relish the whole cup and not like other places where, after couple of spoons wanna stop. My wife, 8 yr old son and I had a great time here. We had Butterscotch Affogato, Oreo Caramel Fudge and Mint Choco Chip. People who work there are super nice and not at all presumptuous like some other more expensive ice cream spots. It’s hard to find places like this where the taste is exquisite and yet the employees are much kinder."

"The vanilla and dumont chocolate are truly premium ice cream, meaning high buttercream content resulting in a thicker and creamier consistency and higher melting point. These two flavors weren’t too sweet, which is good. The custard apple was very good too. At the time of the visit, one scoop was $4.50 + tax + tips. The special flavor was extra. Service was very friendly and welcoming."
