"Looking for a place to enjoy coffee drinks, pastries, and light foods? If you happen to be in the Clear Lake area and are craving these types of food and drink, a good choice of places to visit is La Mer Café. La Mer Café looks like a small coffee shop from the outside, and I wasn’t expecting much elbow room when I pulled into the lot and walked through the door for the first time. But I quickly learned that this is a larger establishment than I first thought. There are rooms off to the right side, and they have couches and other seating. I was happy to see this, because I prefer to sit on a couch with my wife whenever I visit a coffee house. Moving to the food and drink, I liked what I experienced at Le Mer Café. They serve pastries, like most coffee shops, plus hot sandwiches like Pesto Grilled Cheese, Pepperoni Pizza Panini, and others. They have a good assortment of coffee drinks, as expected. My favorite is their hot mocha. They serve cold drinks, too, like iced lattes, cold brew, and iced mocha. If you’re not in the mood for coffee, they serve tea, lemonade and energy drinks, among others. Another thing I like about La Mer Café is that the hot coffee is served in an actual coffee cup. This is how I like to drink my coffee. I don’t like how some coffee shops serve hot drinks in disposable cups. Actual coffee cups not only add to the homey mood, they are also better for helping the hot coffee to cool down faster. Coffee shops are everywhere, but they are not all created equally. La Mer Café has more to offer than meets the eye, with good tasting hot and cold drinks and a comfortable atmosphere that feels like home."

"Every time we come here we leave happy! Stopped by today and got this pistachio + hazelnut chocolate croissant and let me tell you we were very sad when we finished it. Both were SO DELICIOUS!!! Their iced latte and iced mocha are our favorites…very strong which we love! 10/10"

"This place is hands down one of the best local gems! Their iced coffee is amazing! It’s smooth, strong, and never watered down. You can really taste the quality of the beans, and they always get the flavor balance just right. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee to go or sitting down to relax. They have a wonderful reward program too!"

"I absolutely love this place. Their plain drip coffee is the best tasting around. Full bodied, full of flavor and not overly acidic. I have never had a burnt cup of coffee from them. Their food it top notch too. It is not store bought or from a bag like so many others. I also love that the owner typically cuts down the amount of sugar used as too much sugar upsets my stomach and I can enjoy the treats from there. The owners and employees are wonderful. I have always been greeted with a smile and they will answer all the questions I have with patience. I started going here shortly after they opened. In all this time I have only ever had one issue and it was handled promptly, kindly and to my complete satisfaction."
