from Google & Yelp"dropped into Bite the Bagel in Killeen and went straight for the Alaskan Assassin, a sandwich built for anyone who takes their meat seriously. This beast comes stacked—pastrami and bacon layered together, pepper jack throwing down the heat, and all the classic toppings riding shotgun: lettuce, tomato, red onion, the whole crew. One bite in and it’s clear—this isn’t just lunch, it’s a full-throttle flavor hit. The pastrami brings that smoky, savory depth, while the bacon snaps through with a salty crunch. Pepper jack cuts in like a sharp riff on a guitar, and the oil, vinegar, and mayo tie everything together, keeping the ride smooth. Honestly, it’s a killer combo. My only note? I’d run it with extra sauce next time—just enough to really drench the edges and crank that flavor into overdrive. Bite the Bagel doesn’t mess around. The vibe’s casual, the food is bold, and the Alaskan Assassin is proof they know how to build a sandwich that hits hard and leaves you grinning."
"Everyone here is always amazing. We always enjoy our breakfast no matter if its a bagel sandwich or pastry. Today we went after my 5 year old had his throat surgery yesterday and they were very accommodating for him and took their softest bread and put butter on it and warmed it for him so he had an easier time eating it. Thank you guys for always being great. We look forward to family game day."
"Good sandwiches and hot drinks! I had the chicken sandwich and bf had brisket sandwich on toasted rolls. Delicious! We had the toffee and cinnamon roll hot drinks and they were so good. Nice staff. Quick service. Lots of room. Most tables have board games under a clear tabletop. You gotta check it out for yourself."
"I’ve been here a couple times and the food hasn’t disappointed. Good bagels, usually pretty quick and overall the people ringing you up inside are nice. This particular visit really upset me because of how (who I’m assuming is the manager) talked to the other employees. The person in the back making the sandwiches was quite literally yelling at the 3 girls in the front for a simple human mistake (handed out the wrong sandwich I believe) and was talking to them like they’re genuinely stupid. She then said “I know you’re new but…” and I couldn’t believe that. Shout out to one of the girls standing up for her coworkers and not just letting this lady talk down to them. Why would you talk to any of your coworkers like that first not to mention A NEW ONE. And they all look like out of highschool-early 20s while the lady in the back looks a little older than them (which is why I’m thinking manager). Idk the whole thing rubbed me the wrong way. She’s back there after yelling at them complaining about a $20 loss but I’m telling you right now, talking to your coworkers/employees like that is going to be losing soooo much more. Be mean > they quit > you’re understaffed > longer wait times > customers stop coming because of poor service/ lack of service due to poor staffing. Just be better to them, it’s that easy."
