"We ate at Waffle Bear last week, and we were so impressed. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the pork chops and papusas, but we enjoyed everything that we tried. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I cannot speak highly enough about the experience at this place. It's easy to miss, but you definitely shouldn't."

"The only thing I would say is the eggs could've been cooked a little bit longer but other than that tasted good! I loved the bear pictures on the wall throughout the restaurant! The gentleman was very friendly and ran the place by himself. The only other thing I would say that could be different is on the menu it said this came with 4 tenders and my bf went and asked and he said unfortunately it only comes with 3 now and that he needed to change it on the menu. Also, don't go off of the menu on Google he only does the items on the menu in the restaurant."

"BAD EXPERIENCE! Promised to be open until 4pm and closed at 3:20pm without notice. Staff attitude was EXTREMELY RUDE, treated us like we were bothering them. If a place has a posted hours, they should honor them! We showed up during business hours and were denied service. Do not recommend this place, they're unreliable and unfriendly. Hope the owner or manager is aware of this disrespect towards customers. 1/5 stars 🙅‍♂️ ist too much. Today 12/27/2025."

"First off this is a hidden gem. We had a pleasant experience and can say the staff was genuinely happy to help. This is counter service for the most part. Since the restaurant wasn't busy they sat us and gave menus. We were given great service by Darrin and the food is absolutely amazing. The waffle was perfectly cooked and the eggs and grits were perfection. My recommendations are Cheech or Closing time. Definitely large portions and service was fast."
