"Let me start by saying , take a bow everyone at this country kitchen !!!! I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed taters , fried okrie , and sweet buttery soft succulent carrots . The sweet tea could have been a little sweeter but it was fresh and crisp and I guzzled a glass right on down . I had to try the cornbread to test just how country this place really is and boy o boy they are not playing back in that kitchen ! My cornbread had a very thin crunchy out side layer and when I split it open to butter it up I melted harder than the butter on that soft definitely from scratch moist inside . My mouth was watering as I was eating everything!!! Every single person in this place was friendly and made me feel like family , they don't see color or race here , just good ol boys and gals trying to get a piece of that pie literally!!! My steak was more tender than mothers love and flavor packed , my okra was the perfect crispiness hot and fresh , the carrots were so soft there was no need to chew 😳😍. The most astounding thing in my book is , for as busy as they were , there wasn't a single bite of scrumptious cream gravy or taters that was lumpy , chunky , or off in any way !!!! 100 out of 10 recommend, it was like I was back on the farm and moma was making me a meal after working hard out in the field . Bless this place ten fold and may you keep the same amazing experience I had 🙏🙏🙏🙏."

"Run don’t walk! This is the sweetest lil old time mom and pop diner and the service was excellent. The owner‘s granddaughter actually waited on us and she was so kind. The food is home cooked with lots of love and you can tell it when you take your first bite. My husband is a vegetarian and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I on the other hand am not a vegetarian and I equally enjoyed mine. Don’t forget to top off your meal with a piece of amazing coconut cream pie!"

Her warmth, humor, and genuine kindness made our visit unforgettable. She even shared a bit of her story with us, which only added to the feeling that we were right where we belonged. Rusty’s menu recommendations were absolutely spot on. Every bite was delicious, from the chicken fried steak to the sides—and don’t even get me started on the rolls.
