(shoutout to Debbie) I was having trouble deciding what to get (per usual) and she has the BEST recommendations! I tried the Hobo Joe’s Omelette + the bread pudding French toast!! Both options were phenomenal! The Omelette was favorable and the French toast?? Soft, perfect in sweetness, absolutely perfect! My husband got the build your own plate and the plank cakes were fluffy and soft!! I would definitely come back! And again! Debbie, thank you for taking care of us!! (She is the absolute sweetest)"

"We visited this place for the first time. Our waitress Bridgette welcomed us with a friendly appearance. Talked with us as we were family very well respectful. The staff also greeted us with a warm welcome. We all had breakfast. Chicken fried steak and eggs was so delicious, also biscuits & gravy with ham was delicious, and my other sister ordered I believe the Grizz which was pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage, and grits. I so loved the atmosphere felt like home loved the decor. The price was well worth it. I highly recommend anyone visiting Pasadena TX to come visit this place. "1-8-2026 Another amazing visit to Black Bear diner. Service and food was amazing. The resturant was extremely clean. Food came out fast and hot. Our server did an amazing job, her name is wheeler. Stopped by for a late breakfast on Saturday. Jennifer was our server. Place was pretty busy but a table was immediately available. Restaurant, table and seats were clean. Our server Jennifer got our orders and our food came out quick. I ordered the Hobo omelet with fruit on the side. Food was steaming hot and fruit was ice cold as expected. Everything tasted delicious. Our server came by checking on us periodically. Food prices are within reason. Have been here twice before and have ordered through door dash a few times. We have never been disappointed. I highly recommend you visiting the Pasadena location."
