What People Are Saying
from Google"Breakfast is amazing. You must try the pancakes! Portions are generous and a good value for money. Great service and homey, diner atmosphere. Highly recommend!"
"Awesome chicken fried chicken. Excellent breading, good flavor and thickness, perfectly crisp and not hard. Had some chili fries as an appetizer which was pretty great. Chili feels like it’s from a can, but the fries are fantastic. Would order again and highly recommend fries as you me side. Next time ask for onions and sour cream. They have a bunch of fresh made pies that look pretty awesome. Just wish I had saved some room. We will be back."
"We tried this place on a recommendation from some friends. We arrived and were greeted and seated right away. Our server came and got drink order. Upon our servers return with our drinks, the server then got our food order. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and my partner ordered the Belgium Waffle with eggs and bacon and a side of sausage. The Chicken Fried Steak was cook perfectly and the white gravy was very delicious, ordered a side of brown gravy which was also very delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the hashbrowns were very crispy. The Belgium Waffle was cooked perfectly and very delicious as were the eggs, bacon and sausage. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Cannot wait to return."
"Last time I had been to Hubbard's was years ago when they had a location in downtown Garland. This was my first time at the Rowlett location. I ordered the Hubbard's omelette with ham, mushrooms and swiss cheese. For my sides I had the pan fried potatoes (home fries) and buttered toast. I had their coffee as my choice of beverage. The omelette was delicious and gigantic! I did not expect it to be this large. It was stuffed with ingredients and quite fluffy. The pan fries were cooked perfectly. Added some salt and pepper and ketchup and they were great. The toast was toasted just right and they put plenty of butter on the bread. It was melted and gave the bread a nice buttery flavor. The coffee was good and the refills came quick and often. I am not a fan of strong coffee so what they serve was perfect. Our server was very nice and checked on us every so often to make sure we were doing good. Never had to ask for anything and as I said before, the coffee refills came quickly. I've seem some reviews of this restaurant looking old and outdated, but I think that's part of their charm. If you want to look at bright new surroundings then go to IHOP. Personally I am a big fan of the older family owned diners and prefer them over the chains. Don't change a thing!"
"So fantastic! We always catch a real Texas breakfast here on any occasion we're in Dallas area (Garland). Today's waitperson was beyond awesome. Sorry I didn't catch her name so as to compliment her here."
