"First time coming here. The food was absolutely outstanding with the exception of the biscuits. They were hard a seemingly left in the oven a but too long. The bacon could be a little thicker but it was fine as well. The Steak Hash was outstanding which made it all worth it. I'll be going again to try the lunch menu."

"Wow! How has this been my first visit to this wonderful place? It's such a great feeling when you are pleasantly surprised! Upon walking in I noticed the dining room was fairly busy which can be great, maybe the place has excellent food or it can be a bummer that you could be waiting forever for your food. My experience lined up with the first option! I had lunch here with a close friend and we had the greatest server ever! She was basically running the place and had no problem doing it. She gave us great suggestions from the menu and our food arrived quickly. I ordered the meatloaf along with the servers suggestion of mac and cheese and green beans. Everything on my plate was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered a sandwich and she loved hers as well. What was amazing is that the dessert, buttermilk pie was the best I've ever had in my life! We had a great lunch and I will be returning as soon as I can. I highly recommend the mesquite being cafe."

"The first time I came was a Friday so I got the catfish with fried okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. It was the most delicious meal- just perfect and I was in southern food heaven enjoying a moment of pure bliss. I ordered a piece of buttermilk pie to go, and that was amazing too. The specials are so reasonably priced! I came back on a Wednesday with my husband and got the chicken fried steak which was also so good. I haven’t stopped thinking about the catfish. I’m so glad I found this place!"

"The absolute best crawfish i have ever had!!! i asked for it extra spicy and they did just that. I got there homemade dipping sauce for it and oh my!!! just fantastic not to mention the size of those crawfish were immaculate. The price may be higher then most but i’d get it again !! i’ve sent all my family there to try it after i got some !!!"

"Great little lunch spot. Not fancy, just lunch. Travis was our server. Good dude and he took care of us. Lemon Pepper Tilapia was very good and grilled to perfection. Mac n Cheese was flavorful and creamy. I love their fresh baked rolls. I’d go there again to try the Turkey sandwich. It was pretty tasty."
