from Google"Celebrating my husband’s birthday dinner at Brasserie Mon Chou Chou last night. We enjoyed two perfectly crafted cocktails at the bar before being seated for our dinner reservation. It was a packed night so dinner reservations are a must. My husband had the Old Fashion and I’m glad I tried the Canard Dore Sazerac because it was nothing like I’ve ever had before. Both cocktails were top notch. Our server Colleen recommended the perfect starter the Raclette & Baguette with prosciutto sliced ham. We paired two glasses of red wine for our meal as there was a large selection of wines to choose from. My husband loved his Ribeye & Frites and also ordered a side of the baked Mac and Cheese. The steak was ordered medium rare and was exactly as requested. The Truffle-Ravioli was amazing! We had a wonderful experience but the cherry on the top was how personable & kind Fabian the restaurant manager was as he came to our table and we told him how we loved everything. We discussed that we were looking at traveling to France in a few months and Fabian provided several tips as he was originally from Eastern France. We will certainly return to Brasserie Mon Chou Chou for some delicious meals, wonderfully crafted cocktails, beautiful quaint atmosphere and excellent customer service!"
"I end up eating very healthy and fresh, the cous cous and the salad was very very nice, for a French place the fries were very normal, and the almond latte was good. However, its been a long time that I haven´t seen such a speciest menu, offering so many different parts of cows and so many different animals, extremely cruel. There is no need to eat tongues from cows not whole snails, the taste does not worth their whole life, not very humane. This type of places should start switching to a more healthy, cruelty-free plant based meals... and reducing or even avoiding serving animals."
"Drinks are always excellent. The short rib was perfectly tender and flavorful, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and the scallops in that lobster sauce were absolutely out of this world. We came to celebrate a huge milestone, and while I’ve always loved Mom Chou Chou. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I was extremely disappointed with the service during this visit. Nonetheless it was still a good experience."
"Simply outstanding. One of the top French restaurants in San Antonio and overall restaurants in the area. As you expect from French restaurants, this establishment is elegant, refined, and perfectly illustrates the fine dining atmosphere. It’s pricier than some of the other options in the Pearl area, but the service and food quality more than make up for it. You have plenty of French cuisine options to choose along with a very extensive list of local & international wines. It’s close to the river walk (northeast of the north side of the Riverwalk), I would definitely recommend going here."
"Celebrating our 10 anniversary and was immediately given Champagne on the house! I chose a vodka martini instead which was EXCELLENT (they gave my glass of champagne to my husband which he was very happy with). Started with the escargot for 2, the sea food stew ( husband) and duck for me. Would definitely order again and again. Great seating with people watching opportunities. We can’t wait to return and bring others. YUM!"
