from Google & Yelp"Mozna Chocolate & Coffee has a way of winning you over before you even realize what’s happening. Their orange mocha, especially when spun into an almond-milk latte, has become one of my all-time favorites in San Antonio. It’s subtle, fragrant, and balanced, like someone figured out how to bottle a sunrise and pour it into a cup. And the ham and cheese croissant? Mercy. The smoked Swiss melts into the flaky pastry like it was born there, rich enough to savor but never heavy. It’s the kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate your good fortune. The music inside is always soft and inviting, setting the tone without ever demanding attention. Parking stays blissfully simple, whether you slip behind the building or find a spot out front on the street, rare magic in this town. Their single-origin chocolate is another quiet triumph. You can taste the care, the craft, the lineage of the bean itself. It’s a reminder that quality still matters, and some places guard that tradition with pride. Mozna isn’t flashy. It doesn’t need to be. It’s just consistently excellent, one of those spots you return to because they do things right, and have for a long time."
"Coffee Shop No. 518 Mozna Chocolate & Coffee San Antonio, TX June 13, 2025 The San Antonio heat can be brutal—even at 10:30 in the morning. I almost skipped the three-quarters-mile walk to Mozna Chocolate & Coffee, but spotting a shaded side of the street convinced me to push through. I’m glad I did. The shop, the barista, the cortado, the setting, and even the free chocolate samples made it worth every step. The décor is thoughtfully arranged. I especially enjoyed the mural on the wall, which walked visitors through the journey of a cacao bean becoming a chocolate bar. It was both charming and informative. If I weren’t in the middle of downsizing my life, I would have left with a mug and a few other treasures. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: a barista can make or break a coffee shop. A skilled, engaging barista has the power to turn a simple cortado into something memorable. The young woman behind the bar that morning was exactly that. She encouraged me to try Venezuelan and Colombian chocolate alongside my cortado, explaining how well they pair together—and she was right. She wasn’t pushy; she felt like a friend. The world could use more baristas like her. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!"
"Came here this morning and it was so fun! Horchata latte is a must to try. My husband loves dark strong coffee and he said it was great coffee- he ordered a simple strong latte, extra shot, and caramel. We loved the history and all the extras. They have a story of how it’s made and the chocolate. They had free samples of the chocolate which my husband enjoyed!"
"Our first trip here and it didn’t disappoint. I had the orange mocha. It was the perfect balance of not too bitter and not too sweet. My husband ordered the original dark hot chocolate. He was happy they gave an option to make his drink a little sweeter since it’s dark chocolate as there was no milk chocolate option. He enjoyed his drink saying it reminded him of the richness of Mexican hot chocolate. If you choose to have your drinks there they come in the cutest cups and saucer. I’d suggest asking it to go if you don’t plan your drink it all there."
"Fantastic local coffee and chocolate shop! Great service, dog friendly, fair trade, delicious! Everything I could want in a coffee shop. I had their dark chocolate mocha, dairy free with oat milk, and added cinnamon. My husband had their orange hot chocolate with oat milk. Both vegan/plant based and creamy and delicious. Even their mugs are great to hold!"
