What People Are Saying
from Google"The restaurant had a vibrant brunch atmosphere with upbeat music and a busy, energetic feel. When we entered, we were not acknowledged right away, but the restaurant was extremely busy. After about a two-minute wait, we were seated. Our server quickly took our drink order, and we ordered a mimosa flight, orange juice, and waters. She returned with our drinks and immediately took our food order. We ordered the strawberry and cream waffles and three Drunken Fools. The music in the background helped tone down the hustle and bustle, which made the atmosphere enjoyable. The only issue was the wait time for our food. It took quite a while for a breakfast and brunch meal. However, we had no complaints about the mimosas or the food. Everything tasted great. After leaving the restaurant, we noticed that our clothes smelled strongly like cooking grease. I am very sensitive to smells, so I did not like that I had to go home and shower right away. Other than that, I do recommend this place. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the pricing was fair for a brunch outing for two people."
"I'm haven't even gotten my food yet and I want to leave a raving five star review!!! UPDATE: probably the best waffle brunch I have ever had, not even exaggerating. I got the dirty birdie plate, my MIL got the gluten-free original plate, and we were both blown away by the flavors. Food: bomb. Huge servings and came out exactly as ordered. Service: phenomenal. Paris swept us off our feet with her prompt, attentive, and joyful service (the other wait staff was also kind and helpful!). Atmosphere: celebratory. You can tell that love and intention has gone into every detail of this place. Highly, highly recommend."
"Was only going to be in temple for a day and wanted to get some breakfast that wasn’t whataburger, ihop, or Denny’s. I normally do my research on an establishment ahead of time but this trip was so spontaneous and I had no serious plans after so I took a chance and rolled the dice on this place and it was soooooo worth it. We went at peak brunch time so it was about a 20-30 minute wait, no biggie and the staff did warn me that they are a scratch kitchen so the food sometimes takes 45 minutes to an hour to prepare. And again it’s a SCRATCH KITCHEN… meaning the food the staff prepares is made from SCRATCH for people who are not patient enough to wait and not order appetizers or drinks while waiting. No biggie if you’re not on a time crunch. We got the fried green tomatoes (delish😋 I never had pepper jam before and it’s my new obsession), and the rattlesnake poppers (I believe that’s what they’re called, they were like jalapeño poppers but with chorizo, cream cheese, with a potato crust), I got an iced chai with almond milk, and my husband and I split the Mimosa flight (pineapple, pomegranate *my fav*, apple and regular orange juice). The appetizers came out fairly quick. The food did take a little over 45 minutes but not the full hour and was still hot and fresh when we received it. I definitely recommend trying their signature waffles ( I got the strawberry and cream waffle that came with pecans, and mascarpone for the cream which was a nice touch to the sweet strawberry syrup) The staff was very friendly and informative about their menu options and next time I’m in temple I’ll def come back."
"You guys-DON’T pass it by! This place was a 10 out of 10! I am from Chicago And I am used to good food falling flat in visiting towns. Temple has a jewel-Water Street Waffle Company! I ordered a platter with the upgraded Elvis waffles and it did not disappoint. It was a culinary masterpiece- a delectable dance between sweet and salty. I can’t say enough about how great it was! The service was fantastic, as well. Ray was funny, charismatic, and gave us fabulous recommendations. My table was 8 ladies out for brunch, and we had a wonderful experience. Everyone loved their meal and we aim to return tomorrow with the gentlemen we are traveling with. SO glad we came here instead of a mainstream breakfast chain. 😂"
"I started off celebrating my birthday at Water Street Waffle Co. Temple this past Sunday with a few of the ladies. I enjoyed my brunch and my time there. The service was great. Our server, Ray, was very personable and funny. I felt pretty bad because my party was very late arriving, so we did not order until about a half hour before the restaurant was set to close, we were still treated to good service and was never made to feel like it was an issue."
