What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"It was my first time here... it's a favorite of our family in Utah, so when I came to visit we went there. The crunchy French toast was awesome and definitely my favorite. My country fried steak was good and I also had a bite of the breakfast enchiladas and they were very good. It's a fun and a delicious place to eat. Our waitress was nice and entertaining as well. We got there early on a Monday so it wasn't too busy, but it does get really packed. I would definitely go back when I'm visiting Utah."
"Very disappointed. The Country fried steak I got was burnt and really chewy. The eggs, hash brown, and toast were average. Nothing specials. The scone was doughy and undercooked. Nice cozy atmosphere but the food is ehhh. The servers are always busy."
"I'm very excited that thete is one in Ogden. I used to go to the Perry one. That atmosphere is more done up at that one, but the food is still 5 stars. I had the crispy French toast with strawberries. It is my second time I. Two weeks. Last time, I had it, and it was with peaches but wasn't with fresh peaches like Perry's but canned. I was a little disappointed, but I understand. Our waitress wasn't really on top of it, or I would have given you five stars."
"Prices are wrong, food is bad, blames customers. This used to be one of my favorite spots, (I will even attach my review from six years ago that I will now delete) but things have seriously gone downhill over the past year. I wasn’t even planning to leave a review, but then I saw “mad guest” printed on my receipt… so, sure. I guess I’ll be that “mad guest.” Truth is, I wasn’t mad—I was actually polite and just mentioned that our food should probably be shown to a manager. The country fried steak was completely dried out, burnt, and tough. It looked and tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and microwaved today. My eggs were supposed to be over hard, but came out over easy/medium. I ended up filling up on toast, hash browns, and the extra sausage my daughter didn’t want. That’s not exactly what I came for. When I brought it up, the server told us the cooks are new and “getting better.” Respectfully… how long does that take? Because the quality has been sliding for a while now. Also—just a heads-up—don’t rely on the menu prices. What you see is not what you’ll pay. The prices on the menu aren’t accurate, and your total will be more once it’s rung up. Would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time. This isn’t just one off-day—it’s a pattern. I really used to love this place, but it’s just not the same anymore. I hope they can turn it around, but for now, I’ll be taking my appetite elsewhere."
"Makes me sad to leave this place 5 stars, because I’d hate for more people to find out about it… :) The Rusted Spoon is an amazing diner. The staff is so friendly, and you can tell they care by the way they interact with their regulars. It seems they truly make friends with their customers, and treat them like family. We’ve been several times. The place is packed, but I’ve never had to worry about my cup running empty. It’s reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The quality is your typical diner food, nothing will knock your socks off but it’s so delicious! I love when my wife is in the mood for breakfast, I can still get a great burger and fries. Parking is weird though? Make sure not to drive off the curb when you leave, we see it all the time."
"Rusted Spoon is exactly what I would hope for out if my local diner ! The service felt just like small town diner where everyone knows everyone! They made..."
