from Google"This place is hands down a great experience in down town Provo. Both the food and place have a certain -don’t know what- that I just love. My wife and I ran into it when looking for a place with Mexican chocolate or atole (as we call it in México). Obviously, we didn’t have any expectations. Surprisingly, this place had both, great tasting Mexican chocolate and a delicious atol de elote from Guatemala. We enjoyed them so much. Other people were ordering some delicious looking food so we decided to go back the next day and try some ourselves. My wife ordered their Sandwich de pollo asado and I already forgot the name of the dish I got, but it was delicious. The sandwich was really good and best part… it had avocado, not just the impression of it but a good portion of avocado; I love avocado! The dish I ordered came with scrambled eggs, fried plantain, queso fresco, crema, salsa, a piece of asada, black beans and two tortillas, yea, all of that. I really enjoyed it. Tortillas are thick, I guess that's the way they're made in Guatemala, and I liked them a lot. We returned a couple days later and ordered pupusas, more chocolate and atol. Their pupusas are amazing! I’ve had pupusas from other places around the area but nothing like these. These had a lot more substance, flavor and personality haha, if that makes sense. They have queso and revueltas. The chicharron in the revueltas is so good! Apparently they run out of it early everyday, leaving you with just pupusas de queso for the rest of the day. Service everyday we were there was great too. They were very attentive. The place doesn’t have much sitting but I think that contributes to the great atmosphere they have going on. Plus the traditional music they have always on, it’s just great. I have yet to try their pan dulce. Another reason to go back :)"
"Cool little place with great food. The menu had a wide variety of unique Guatemalan dishes, with some other Latin-American choices as well. I love pupusas, so I couldn't resist ordering a Cheese Pupusa. For only $2, I was surprised by how big it was. The masa was nicely cooked, and the cheese filling was generous and very tasty, stringy and flavorful. The curtido was fresh and complimented the cheese well. Feeling adventurous I also ordered the Mole de Platano. The dish was good, although maybe a bit complex for the first time trying it. The flavor was slightly nutty, sweet, and bitter all at once, with the platanos bringing more sweetness than I expected. It was a fun try :)."
"This restaurant had amazing food! The flavor is rich, complex and authentic! The experience of dining here felt like we had been transported to South America and enjoying a small slice of heaven. Definitely worth the trip and my highest recommendation for anyone who is looking for a great meal."
"Amazing authentic Guatemalan experience. The kindest staff in Provo. Definitely worth a visit. Good bakery as well!"
"I've been to few Guatemalan restaurants, but this was by far the best one. I am told also that it is very authentic also (the steak is better here than in Guatemala apparently). You can't go wrong here & they are very helpful & friendly here."
