"Really special place. I'm at home sipping a black cup of their Columbia roast right now. I only buy beans from here. Locally roasted coffee not only supports the local economy, but it is objectively fresher and tastier than any preserved alternative. This is the *only* coffee roaster in Utah county to my knowledge. That means that every other coffee shop in Utah county uses comparatively stale beans. That even goes for shops that source their beans from UT-based roasters like Cafe Ibis, because they usually get their beans in scheduled large batches from the Logan-based roaster. Incidental, on the other hand, roasts in-house, and their beverages and take-home beans are as fresh as you can get. This matters greatly if you're into espresso and black coffee, but you'll even notice the difference on flavored drinks. These folks know coffee and furthermore know how to dial in brewing techniques for optimal extraction. Service and staff are exceptional. Beverages are served in beautiful ceramic and stoneware cups. It's just a fantastic experience all-around, and this is the only coffee shop in the county that I recommend without hesitation."

"Best coffee in Provo! I’m from another country, and honestly, it’s been very hard for me to find coffee in the US that tastes the way it should. Not burnt and not flavorless. I was already disappointed and thought I would never find coffee that tastes the way it should, like in European countries. But this place really surprised me. They make an amazing latte! Not every time and not every barista, but the last time a red-haired girl made my coffee and it was 100/100. I apologize for describing her this way. I didn’t catch her name and only remember her hair color 🙌🏼 The latte was absolutely delicious. Soft, silky foam, very smooth and delicate coffee flavor. Just wow 😻 Thank you so much!!!"

"Now that the brethren have changed their minds about caffeinated beverages, it makes sense to come on in a try out the different offerings at Incidental. It’s a clean, crisp, quiet, and quaint coffee shop. Don’t worry, they don’t judge. Nor should you feel bad. Coffee is healthier than a coke or a Dr Pepper, as long as you don’t load it up with all sorts of unnecessary syrups and sugars and milks and stuffs. I recommend you drink it black (meaning no additional whatevers). If you’re brave enough, that is. Because Incidental is a top tier coffee shop, and coffee is meant to be enjoyed straight up, uninhibited, unmolested, and as is. Don’t worry. You’ll be fine, my brothers and sisters. This beverage comes straight from the earth, combined of course with our ancestors discovery of fire millions of years ago. It’s healthy (in moderation) and delicious to the taste, and very desirable."

"This is hands down the best coffee I’ve had in Utah — and I say that as someone originally from the Pacific Northwest who knows good coffee. Incidental Coffee Roasters absolutely exceeded my expectations. Their cold brew is phenomenal — I had it every single day during my first trip to Provo because I literally couldn’t start my day without it. On this most recent trip, I ordered cappuccinos and they were just as incredible. The flavor, the quality, the smoothness… everything is consistently excellent. The shop itself has a great vibe, the location is convenient, and the people are always friendly and welcoming. My only regret is forgetting to grab a bag of their beans to bring home — which just means I’ll be back even sooner. Anytime I’m in Provo, this is my go-to coffee spot. Can’t leave without it, can’t function without it. Truly amazing coffee. Highly recommend. Sincerely, Megan J."

"Great little spot. It’s small, but exactly what you’d hope for in a locally owned shop. The owner was incredibly kind—and I love a good victory story. They started in a tent, then moved to a truck, and now have a brick-and-mortar café. That kind of journey always earns extra respect from me. • Cold Brew: It was fine—totally drinkable—but I personally prefer more depth and richness. This one had a bit of a flat flavor profile for me. • Seasonal Cherry Latte: I ordered it with a quad shot (as always), but it still came across more like cherry milk than a true coffee-forward drink. I wanted that bold espresso flavor to shine through a bit more. Would I go back? Yes—70/30. I love the story, love the vibe, and I’d be open to trying a different drink next time."
