What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Tucked away on a quiet corner, this coffee shop is the kind of place you stumble into and immediately want to stay awhile. The espresso is smooth and rich, with just the right balance of boldness and warmth. The atmosphere strikes a perfect mix of cozy and modern—soft lighting, comfortable seating, and the gentle hum of conversation in the background. The staff are genuinely friendly, making you feel more like a guest than a customer. Whether you’re there to work, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a latte, it’s the kind of spot that makes you wish every neighborhood had one."
"Absolutely amazing ambience. Very friendly staff. Warm and inviting. I haven't been in here for a good five or six years.. they've really done well with the excellent decor, vibe, soft, inviting music, quick and friendly service. Definitely going to start coming here more often. Stellar work guys."
"We came to Salt Lake City for a golf tournament. There are a lot of great things about SLC but Cafe on 1st has to be the best hidden gem in town. I’ll be honest we are friends with the owners but that doesn’t change the fact that this place pays attention to detail. The amount of egg on the sandwiches is generous to say the least. The burrito is giant and the breakfast bowl is so good. The location is great. Tree lined streets and very peaceful. Plenty of parking on the street as well as the lot behind the building. Atmosphere is great in the shop with more than enough seating for everyone."
"Small shop with a very eclectic feel to it. I was really surprised they had Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee! The food was alright. The burrito was huge and perhaps too large. It started to fall apart pretty quickly into eating it. It was also a little too weight for my liking. The bagel and hummus was good though!!"
"Finally a nice strong Americano! Well done, folks. It’s surprisingly hard to find good Americano style coffees, but you all nailed it. Really cute location, very busy at times but I can see why."
"Charming neighborhood coffee shop in the Avenues. The kind of place you walk into and instantly want to linger, but I was just grabbing a quick bite before..."
