"The hand dipped chocolates are amazing if a bit pricey, still worth it! The hot chocolate flavor and consistency was top tier, just wish it was a tad bit hotter in temperature. Italian sodas had too much ice. Definitely recommend. My niece thinks the staff weren't as friendly but not the worst."

"Hot chocolate is a passion of mine and I try to find the best one in every city I visit. Hatch dark chocolate (with Aztec spices) is one of my top 3 of all time. Super thick and rich and delicious with a great kick on the back end from the spices. It's under 20 minutes from the airport so go here first before anything else you have planned In SLC. You won't be sorry!"

"My husband and I somewhat randomly went to Hatch for some hot chocolate at the end of our date. The hot chocolate tasted awesome—perfectly creamy and decadent. However, what made our night really amazing was having Steve, the owner, come and chat with us. He has the best stories and just gave his time to us in a way that was just so fun and unique. "We got a frozen chocolate which had good flavor but we were disappointed in the texture. There were many whole ice cubes. The salted caramel hot chocolate was stellar. Best hot chocolate in the area! Very creamy."

"I really wanted to like this place. Coming from Europe, I expect a hot chocolate place to offer hot chocolate that is not crazy sweet. I ordered a dark chocolate for 10$ that I was told by the barrista wasn't that sweet, but it is making my insides stick together. Gross. Also, they don't have mugs, just paper cups (sad). Also, their metal tables and chairs don't feel very cosy. Also, their refrigerators are twice as loud as the music. Lock in the bathroom doesn't work. Would be nice to have some artwork on the floors, those grey concrete floors make me think of an old train station. Their art on the walls is beautiful, the place is spacious, location is great if you live in the avenues, their hours are long. The place has potential, if only they had better hot chocolate and had mugs."
